Hello everyone! While many of you may be enjoying a relaxing day off, for me, it's the beginning of a never-ending "mission of love." Although it seems like the same routine every day, it's filled with meaning and joy that always makes my heart swell. Today, I want to take you behind the scenes of my life as a caregiver for both people and animals.
☕ Early morning with the scent of care
This morning in Trang province, the air is especially refreshing because it rained all night, making everything look lush and green. I started the day by preparing breakfast. The aroma of coffee mingled with the scent of my daughter's breakfast, signaling the start of a new day.
After taking care of the little one, my most important task was preparing Mom's meal. Today, I meticulously cooked soup and prepared milk for her. Before feeding her, I changed her diaper and changed the changing mat to ensure her comfort. Mom ate very well today. Seeing her chew with relish and smile, I couldn't resist capturing the moment with my camera, because every smile from Mom is the most precious memory for me. Once she was full, I put her to rest, letting the soup and milk digest before her bath time.
An Interspecies Friendship in a Tiny House
Once the housework is done, I immediately jump into the role of zoo caretaker. Washing dishes and cooking rice are quickly taken care of before I turn my attention to my little friends, the Sulcata tortoise and the clever parrot. I feed them and clean their enclosure as usual. Seeing them happily eating in such nice weather makes tiring housework like mopping or cleaning the bathroom seem like a breeze.
An Adventure in the Garden and a Warm Welcome
Around 10:00 AM, it was time to head to the garden to see the ducks, chickens, and geese. Along the way, I couldn't resist stopping to take pictures of Trang city in the morning to share with my friends. The scenery here is always beautiful and peaceful.
As soon as the car stopped in front of the garden, the mischievous troop of animals rushed to greet me happily. They seemed to know the time and waited for my arrival every morning. I scattered some rice grains for them and didn't forget to feed the tiny fish in the large pond as well. As soon as the fish food pellets for herbivorous fish touched the water's surface, the small fish swarmed around, gobbling up the food and splashing water everywhere. It was a truly delightful sight.
A Gift from Nature
The Egg Hunt Against the Locals*
The mission concluded with the most exciting moment: the egg hunt. This part was truly an adventure, as I had a formidable competitor: the local crows who always snatched the eggs before me. I circled the garden for a while, almost giving up, but then, on my way back home, my eyes caught sight of three creamy white eggs waiting for me.
In that moment, my heart swelled with joy; it felt like I'd found treasure! I brought the eggs home with a smile, to share this story with my friends.
Even though my daily life seems repetitive, caring for the people I love and my loyal pets gives me immense strength. Happiness isn't in novelty, but in the dedication we put into what we do each day.
