Today I want to share my story of living a simple yet happy life.
🌅 Starting the Day with Mindfulness
My routine begins early in the morning at 5:00 AM, while the outside world is still quiet. I wake up and get all the housework done because I have a big task ahead:
going to work driving an excavator with my husband. But before leaving the house, "orderliness inside" is the most important thing. This includes preparing breakfast for my mother-in-law, managing the food, and cleaning up after our beloved pets. Once everything is in place, I'm ready to tackle work with a smile.
🌱 After-Work Mission: Seedling Hunt at Or Tor Kor Market After finishing our digging work in the evening, before heading home, my husband and I stopped by Or Tor Kor Market, my trusted source for plants. The atmosphere was bustling with people who love gardening just like me! My goal today was to buy some small, affordable seedlings to transform our backyard into an edible vegetable garden.
Although I was a little disappointed that my usual shop didn't have the basil I originally wanted, I ended up with a ton of new additions to my collection! Including: 👇🏻
Fresh chilies (to add some spice to the kitchen)
Cilantro, cumin, and mint (fragrant herbs)
Kaffir lime, eggplant, and young betel leaves
In total, I only paid 220 baht! But my luck didn't end there. As I was about to drive away, I spotted a shop across the street that had the basil I was looking for. Although it was a bit more expensive (25 baht per bag), to complete my garden, I had to get it. The shop recommended separating the plants before planting. Now it's a matter of luck whether they'll survive, but I'll take good care of them!
🚿 Preparing to plant
Upon arriving home, I quickly moved the seedlings to the sink and watered them thoroughly, waiting for the evening sun to set before planting them properly. Seeing the green leaves after a tiring day is truly energizing.
