Today was a weekend filled with activities, from food to gardening. I'd like to share some of the lovely chaos of the day.

Today, I'm going to share the stories and activities that unfolded throughout Saturday, from early morning until evening, under the roles and responsibilities I hold dear.
☀️ Warm duties with little friends
The day began with the first light of day, and my first task was caring for the little ones in the house. I started by preparing fresh and nutritious food for my intelligent parrots and sulcata tortoises, each with their own unique needs. Then came the equally important cleaning. I meticulously cleaned the bird cages and tortoise cages to ensure they were clean, hygienic, and comfortable. Once everything was in place, it was time for joy: feeding my furry friends and hard-shelled friends. It was a time to communicate and observe their happiness up close.
☕️ Relaxing for the Body and Mind: A Special Little Happiness
While I was busy taking care of my beloved pets, my lovely husband took on the role of house barista, brewing coffee. The fragrant, sweet aroma of coffee wafted up to where I was standing, a warm and comforting wake-up call.
Soon, a familiar voice called out, "Breakfast is ready!" This small act of kindness was so comforting and energizing, ready to take on the day. I hurried to the dining table to enjoy the coffee my husband had carefully brewed for me. It was truly a relaxing experience for both my body and mind. I snapped a photo of the cup before returning to complete my duties as a pet carer.
🔄 Ongoing Activities: Roles at Every Stage of the Day
After sipping coffee and eating breakfast, I returned to the rest of my duties, which included tending to the backyard garden and watering the vegetables I had planted. It's the garden behind the restaurant, which has a small amount of vegetables.
Once that was done, I got to work on the housework. Today, I had to clean out the refrigerator, clean the kitchen, and do some laundry. Finally, the housework was complete.
🍳 A Quick Easy Lunch
When lunchtime came, my stomach began to protest, but my mind couldn't think of anything but a simple dish with the main ingredients in the fridge: pork curry fried rice. It was a delicious, spicy dish, easy to make, and didn't take long at all.
As the fried rice filled the kitchen, I quickly brought it to the table, ready to share with my husband and daughter. But just as I was about to eat, I remembered that it was Saturday... My sister must have gone out to run errands. What about my mother?
My mind immediately went to the kitchen. And just as I thought, my mother hadn't eaten lunch yet. Without delay, I quickly prepared a meal for my mother. I scooped up some soft rice porridge, a glass of warm milk, and a glass of clean water, and then personally fed her until she was satisfied. It was a small joy to take care of her.
After finishing my mother's meal, my husband, my daughter, and I returned to the table to eat the fried rice. The atmosphere was so warm and homely.
🚜 Grass Conquering Mission: The Tiredness and Joy of a Gardener
After lunch, it was time to get down to the hard work of the week! My husband and I quickly drove our trusty tricycle straight to our garden.
Upon arriving at the garden, the first thing we needed to do was take care of our four-legged friends, feed the pets, and herd the cows out of the barn so they could roam free and we could start our grass-cutting mission.
Then, we started preparing the lawnmower equipment. First, we filled it with gas. I was so focused on capturing photos and videos of this mission, but when I actually started cutting grass, I barely took any photos because I was so focused on the task at hand. But then I remembered to grab my phone and take photos and videos. After cutting a fairly large area, my trusty lawnmower started coughing and running out of gas, eventually shutting down. I walked over to my husband, who was mowing grass a short distance away, and asked him to fill it up. And a little miracle happened! After filling it up, the machine started up effortlessly, like magic!
I cut two full tanks of grass today, which took quite a while. It's a really energy-intensive job.
☁️ The Sky Tells a Story: Cool and Comfortable, but I'm Afraid
While happily mowing the lawn, I stared blankly at the sky. Dark brown and black clouds formed, looking like it was going to rain. I was starting to worry about whether I'd be able to finish the job in time. But on the other hand, the weather was incredibly cool, not as hot as I'd expected, making today's gardening run smoothly and enjoyable. I really like this atmosphere; it's perfect for gardening.
However, no matter how nice the weather is, mowing the lawn is incredibly tiring. Today, I truly understood the feelings of gardeners, having experienced it myself.
🌙 Time for a relaxing and special dinner.
As the sun began to set and it was getting dark, my husband invited me home, as today's work would have to be put on hold.
We gathered our equipment and prepared for tomorrow's challenge. Gardening is truly a never-ending task.
When I arrived home, I saw the heartwarming sight of my sister feeding my mother dinner. What made it even more special was that our relatives had brought dinner. Today was truly a relaxing day for me, as I didn't have to cook dinner myself.
The food my lovely relatives brought was amazing. We had a spicy papaya salad and a sweet and delicious fish and vegetable curry with coconut milk. I'd like to thank my relatives for their generosity today. It truly gave me a wonderful time to relax.
It was another memorable day, filled with tasks to complete and the little joys of caring for family and the kindness of friends and family.
