A pheasant in our garden weakened a real hunter's prey

A pheasant in our garden

An ideal prey to hunters, a weakened or sedated pheasant gives joy to hunters when it's killed. It doesn't fly but runs fast but not fast enough for the lead bullets that will pierce its layers of feathers and in the best case kill it instantly, unfortunately, many times the bullets just harm and wounds it, letting the poor beast agonize to death for days sometimes.
So I guess this beautiful pheasant has found a safe place in our garden and he'll stay as much as he wants and he knows that in this place, my mum's home, we care about the living things like the numerous birds from our neighbourhood and guests sometimes.
Other animals too, small or bigger from fields rats, mice and moles to deer spend some night time around in our garden or passing by.

And I don't like hunting, taking lives away, I think it's the worst thing one can do, killing little animals or bigger beasts. But am aware though, by experience that some people are able to sacrifice kids and mothers from others but also their own as long as it brings them something like power or wealth. Life is not much for them as they sacrifice their own kid's sis and bros and families for some reasons or causes.

So why would they feel anything about wounding or killing a bird or other animal they often don't even bother to pick up at times or even eat?
By the way, this pheasant tried to communicate with me I didn't get the message but told him or her he or she was safe here.
