A Glimpse into the Soul of Myanmar’s Local Life

I'm truly grateful I had the opportunity to visit Myanmar while it was still at peace. It’s heartbreaking to see how the situation has changed for the people of Burma. During my trip, I met some wonderful friends, but sadly, I’ve lost contact with them. I sincerely hope they are safe and still alive. Many of them were already struggling back then—and now, many have tried to flee the country.

A few months ago, I continued my studies at an international college in Singapore, where I met several Burmese students. They come from impressive backgrounds—engineers, teachers, and professionals who once lived comfortable lives in their homeland. Many of them came here using student visas as a way out, and I can tell you, studying in a developed country like Singapore isn’t cheap.

I’ve heard real stories—things you don’t always see in international news. They showed me reliable sources of information run by locals through social media channels not censored by authorities. Sadly, there are ongoing conflicts every day, and many lives have been lost. The youth face a bleak future, especially those resisting the current military government.

I won’t take sides here. But as a fellow human being, I believe there must be space for tolerance, compassion, and mutual respect. Governments are meant to protect their people—not rule by fear or greed.

I'm sharing my travel photos from Myanmar here on Hive to show the world how beautiful the country is. If peace ever returns, I would love to visit again—to experience its culture, food, nature, and kind people. Let’s all hope for brighter days ahead.

Thanks for stopping by . I hope you enjoy today series and see you tomorrow .
