¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad! He notado que con el pasar del tiempo el contenido aquí se ha vuelto bastante escaso, así que vengo a aportar mi granito de arena con una exposición fotográfica que se encontraba expuesta en el Museo de Bellas Artes de Caracas, la misma lleva por nombre "Venezuela, tu mirada: Lo que una mujer puede hacer con una cámara".

En esta muestra, se hallaban reunido el trabajo de 24 mujeres jóvenes cuyas fotografías fueron seleccionadas directamente desde sus redes sociales para posteriormente, ser impresos sobre telas en un diseño semejante a las películas fotográficas de las cámaras. La empresa Movilnet fue la encargada de dicha selección, publicando las fotografías cada cierto tiempo a través de su cuenta de Instagram.

Ahora más que nunca, es normal que todos tengamos un registro fotográfico de nuestras actividades, lo cual nos puede llevar un poco a "desvalorizar" dichas fotografías. Porque ¿Se recuerdan esa época en la que solíamos reunirnos en familia a simplemente ver los álbumes fotográficos? Así fueran las mismas fotografías, nunca nos cansábamos de verlas. Es increíble que en el presente, muchas fotos no sean vistas de nuevo, sean eliminadas o exageradamente editadas. Y todo porque se crean tantas, que no nos damos el tiempo de "digerirlas". Creamos cientos de álbumes de fotos digitales que muchas veces no volvemos a ver. Por eso, el peso de la fotografía impresa nos recuerda algo que creíamos olvidado.

A través de estas exposiciones fotográficas, he podido apreciar mucho más el valor de esa forma de expresión. Una imagen puede contarnos mucho más de lo que tenemos frente a nuestros ojos, nos invita a tratar de imaginarnos cómo fue el momento en que la escena fue capturada, qué clima había, que ruidos se escuchaban, lo que género en el fotógrafo a la hora de decidir fotografiarla. Hay una sensibilidad y una nostalgia que sólo puede descubrirse al tomarse del tiempo de contemplarlas. Por eso me gusta detenerme y ver esas fotografías, a pesar de no saber nada técnico a nivel fotográfico, sólo intento hallar esa chispa y a veces sucede: Una sonrisa se dibuja en mi rostro o algo de tristeza surge, dependiendo de lo que vea y de lo que sienta.

He notado que las exposiciones de fotografías son las que tienen menos interés del público. Al llegar a aquella sala, observé como los que entraban daban una vuelta rápida y se marchaban, durando unos cuantos segundos, sin realmente ver lo que estaba delante de sus ojos. Por eso permanecí allí, viendo las fotografías con detalle, valorando lo que aquella mujeres habían logrado capturar. Con el tiempo, yo misma he aprendido a apreciar incluso las fotografías aparentemente "imperfectas" que tomo, porque pueden despertar en mí un recuerdo o un sentimiento... Si tengo la oportunidad, me gustaría hacer un curso de fotografía en algún momento 😌

Hello to all the members of this community! I've noticed that over time the content here has become quite scarce, so I'm here to contribute my two cents with a photography exhibition that was on display at the Museum of Fine Arts in Caracas, called "Venezuela, Your Perspective: What a Woman Can Do with a Camera".

This exhibition featured the work of 24 young women whose photographs were selected directly from their social media accounts and then printed on fabric in a design resembling camera film. Movilnet was responsible for this selection, publishing the photographs periodically through its Instagram account.

Now more than ever, it's normal for all of us to have photographic records of our activities, which can lead us to somewhat "devalue" those photographs. Because remember those days when we used to get together as a family and simply look at photo albums? Even if they were the same photographs, we never tired of them. It's incredible that nowadays, many photos are never seen again, deleted, or heavily edited. And all because so many are created that we don't take the time to "digest" them. We create hundreds of digital photo albums that we often never look at again. That's why the weight of printed photography reminds us of something we thought we'd forgotten.

Through these photography exhibitions, I've been able to appreciate the value of this form of expression much more. An image can tell us much more than what's in front of our eyes. It invites us to try to imagine what the moment was like when the scene was captured, what the weather was like, what sounds were heard, what it triggered in the photographer when they decided to photograph it. There's a sensitivity and a nostalgia that can only be discovered by taking the time to contemplate them. That's why I like to stop and look at these photographs, despite not knowing anything technical about photography. I just try to find that spark, and sometimes it happens: A smile appears on my face or a touch of sadness arises, depending on what I see and what I feel.

I've noticed that photography exhibitions are the ones that attract the least interest from the public. Upon arriving at that room, I observed how those who entered took a quick turn and left, lingering for a few seconds, without really seeing what was before their eyes. That's why I stayed there, looking at the photographs in detail, appreciating what those women had managed to capture. Over time, I've learned to appreciate even the seemingly "imperfect" photographs I take, because they can awaken a memory or a feeling in me... If I have the opportunity, I'd like to take a photography course someday 😌
