¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad! Actualmente estoy en la ciudad de Caracas, aunque, hace casi dos años, estuve viviendo por más de 15 años en la ciudad de Barquisimeto, lugar que no sólo me vio terminar de crecer, sino que me brindó la oportunidad de tener grandes enseñanzas y ser la persona que soy ahora 😌 Por suerte, cada cierto tiempo viajo hasta Lara (su estado) para visitar a mi novio y mi gato, pudiendo también disfrutar de las bondades que la conocida como Ciudad Crepuscular, tiene para ofrecernos ✨

El día 8 de Marzo, tuve la maravillosa oportunidad de estar presente en varias exposiciones de arte y entre ellas, se encuentra Inconmensurables: Horizontes, armonías, memorias y colores de Lara, la cual se encontraba expuesta en la Galería de Arte Nacional de Caracas. Debo confesar que cuando me encontré con aquella sala, sentí una especie de "nostalgia", sin saber todavía el nombre de aquella exposición, fui llamada por las pinturas y diferentes obras y, a medida que las contemplaba, ese sentimiento "familiar", permanecía en mí. Ya fuese a través de los paisajes dibujados o los materiales utilizados, algo dentro de mí, reconocía el origen de esos artistas. Cuando me volteé, para buscar el nombre de la exposición, una sonrisa se dibujó en mi rostro al hallarlo "¡Por supuesto, son artistas del estado Lara!", pareció expresar mi corazón.

Durante mis años en Barquisimeto, tuve mi "despertar artístico", ya que no solamente pude pintar un tiempo en óleos, gracias a un curso de pintura, sino que pude conocer a algunos pintores, artesanos y artistas varios de la región. Siempre me era grato asistir a las Casa de la Cultura, espacio que destinaban para la reunión, exposición, cursos y demás eventos de efecto cultural. Gracias a ello, pude no sólo hacer el curso de pintura que les mencioné, sino que también, darme cuenta del enorme talento que había allí.

En esa sala destinada a la exposición, me sentí como en casa y mientras contemplaba las pinturas, me imaginaba los paisajes en mi mente y me proyectaba a aquellos años, en donde sin darme cuenta, estaba despertando mi sensibilidad. Ahora, que tengo la oportunidad de asistir a estas exposiciones estando en la capital, me doy cuenta de que en la ciudad de Barquisimeto, hace faltan lugares en donde se puedan apreciar estas obras. Actualmente, el Museo ha sido reinaugurado, luego de una temporada de varios años estando cerrado, pero está abierto en horarios y días irregulares, lo que pienso que evita la captación de los visitantes. Al menos en mi caso, las dos veces pasadas que viajé a la ciudad, el Museo se hallaba cerrado y en las redes sociales, la información es escasa. Espero que con el tiempo, eso cambie 😌

Una de las cosas que disfruté de esta exposición, fue que habían algunos sketchbook disponibles para ser revisados. A través de ellos, se podía observar algunos dibujos, bocetos, prácticas y datos de los artistas. Cuando estudiaba arte, el profesor nos motivaba a tener nuestro propio cuaderno como estos. En ese momento, no pude hacer nada decente, pero últimamente me he animado a intentar hacer uno; sería interesante tener mis propias investigaciones a medida que vaya aprendiendo 😊

Para finalizar, les mostraré ésta obra que me encantó, en donde el artista logró capturar el crepúsculo de inicio a fin ¡Una gran hazaña! Cuando vivía allá, en casa tenía la oportunidad de ver estos hermosos atardeceres y cuando voy de visita, una sonrisa se dibuja en mi rostro cuando veo al cielo 😌 Si viven en Barquisimeto, le invito a visitar el Museo en sus días laborales, sería realmente hermoso que ese espacio, se llene cada vez más de artistas exponentes y visitantes, amantes del arte ¡Lo espero con ansias! 🤗✨

Hello to all the members of this community! I am currently in the city of Caracas, although, almost two years ago, I was living for more than 15 years in the city of Barquisimeto, a place that not only saw me finish growing up, but also gave me the opportunity to have great teachings and become the person I am today 😌 Luckily, from time to time I travel to Lara (its state) to visit my boyfriend and my cat, and I can also enjoy the benefits that the so-called Twilight City has to offer us ✨

On March 8th, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend several art exhibitions, including Incommensurables: Horizons, Harmonies, Memories, and Colors of Lara, which was on display at the National Art Gallery in Caracas. I must confess that when I first came across that room, I felt a kind of nostalgia. Without even knowing the name of the exhibition, I was drawn to the paintings and other works, and as I contemplated them, that familiar feeling remained with me. Whether it was through the drawn landscapes or the materials used, something inside me recognized the origins of these artists. When I turned around to look for the name of the exhibition, a smile spread across my face. "Of course, they are artists from Lara state!" seemed to express my heart.

During my years in Barquisimeto, I had my "artistic awakening." Not only was I able to paint in oils for a while, thanks to a painting course, but I also met several painters, artisans, and various artists from the region. I was always pleased to attend the Casa de la Cultura, a space designated for meetings, exhibitions, courses, and other cultural events. Thanks to this, I was able to not only take the painting course I mentioned, but also realize the enormous talent that existed there.

In that room designated for the exhibition, I felt at home, and while I contemplated the paintings, I imagined the landscapes in my mind and projected myself back to those years, where, without realizing it, I was awakening my sensitivity. Now, that I have the opportunity to attend these exhibitions while in the capital, I realize that the city of Barquisimeto lacks places where these works can be appreciated. The Museum has recently reopened after several years of closure, but it is open at irregular hours and days, which I think hinders its visitor attraction. At least in my case, the last two times I traveled to the city, the Museum was closed, and information on social media is scarce. I hope that with time, that will change.

One of the things I enjoyed about this exhibition was that there were several sketchbooks available for review. Through them, you could see some of the artists' drawings, sketches, practices, and information. When I was an art student, my professor encouraged us to have our own sketchbooks like these. At the time, I couldn't make anything decent, but lately I've been inspired to try my hand at making one; it would be interesting to have my own research as I learn.

Finally, I will show you this work that I loved, where the artist managed to capture the twilight from start to finish. A great feat! When I lived there, at home I had the opportunity to see these beautiful sunsets and when I go to visit, a smile appears on my face when I see the sky 😌 If you live in Barquisimeto, I invite you to visit the Museum on your workdays, it would be truly beautiful if that space were filled more and more with exhibiting and visiting artists, art lovers.
