ENGLISH CONTENT

Hello to all the members of this community and lovers of street art! I'm still taking a few days off in the city of Barquisimeto (Venezuela) and one of my goals was to get some photographs of new murals or ones I hadn't shown before. In the northern part of the city, there are several drawings that beautify the route, but unfortunately they are off my route, so I can only settle for seeing them from afar or, as in the case of the following photograph, take advantage of the fact that the bus stopped thanks to the traffic light and try to take a photograph... although the result is not perfect, I think it's wonderful to have even that small shot 😅

Where I did find a couple of pieces of graffiti that I was able to photograph was in the eastern part of the city. I like coming across the word "Smile" because it reminds me of precisely that: that no matter what's going on in my life, it's always better to find a reason to smile. That very day, I was on my way to meet up with a friend, so I was very excited for the encounter to happen.

When I lived in this city, I remember finding street art was a challenge, especially because I lived on the East Side, and I'd already photographed many of the murals and graffiti. Of course, I'm speaking from my limited knowledge of the area, as I tend to only explore the parts I'm familiar with. Currently, I'm taking the risk of exploring unexplored places, hoping not only to learn more about the city but also to find hidden street art.

On the other hand, I also like to walk past places where there's a mural or drawing that I've already photographed, to observe how the time factor has affected it. Although this follow-up often has a discouraging result, as is the case with a collective work by several artists that was covered up and supplanted by a religious drawing. I'm not complaining about the new drawing, but it's unfortunate that the beautiful work of those artists was covered up when there are so many empty walls in the city where they could have made that new mural. But, anyway... I think one of the beautiful things about street art is its ephemeral nature ✨

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes del arte callejero! Aún me encuentro tomándome unos días libres en la ciudad de Barquisimeto (Venezuela) y una de mis metas, eran lograr conseguir algunas fotografías de murales nuevos o que no hubiese mostrado. En la zona Norte de la ciudad, hay varios dibujos que embellecen el recorrido, pero lamentablemente están fuera de mi ruta, así que sólo puedo conformarme con verlos desde lejos o como en el caso de la siguiente fotografía, aprovechar que el autobús se detuvo gracias al semáforo y tratar de tomar una fotografía... aunque el resultado no es perfecto, pienso que es maravilloso aunque sea tener esa pequeña toma 😅

Donde si encontré un par de grafitis que si pude fotografiar, fue en la zona Este de la ciudad. Me gusta encontrarme con la palabra "Sonríe", porque me recuerda precisamente eso, que no importa lo que esté sucediendo en mi vida, siempre es mejor buscar un motivo para sonreír y precisamente ese día, estaba en camino a encontrarme con una amistad, así que estaba muy emocionada porque se diera el encuentro 😌

Cuando vivía en esta ciudad, recuerdo que conseguir arte callejero era un desafío, más que nada porque vivía precisamente en la zona Este y muchos de los murales y grafitis, ya les había tomado fotos. Por supuesto, hablo desde mi escaso conocimiento de la zona, ya que suelo transitar únicamente las partes que me son conocidas, aunque actualmente estoy arriesgándome a ir a lugares inexplorados, con la esperanza no sólo de conocer más de las ciudades, sino también de hallar arte callejero oculto.

Por otro lado, también me agrada pasar por lugares en donde se encuentre un mural o dibujo del cual ya haya dado muestras fotográficas, para observar cómo ha afectado en el mismo el factor tiempo. Aunque muchas veces, éste seguimiento tiene un resultado desalentador, como es el caso de un trabajo colectivo de varios artistas que fue cubierto y suplantado por un dibujo religioso. No me quejo del nuevo dibujo, pero es lamentable que el hermoso trabajo de esos artistas fuese cubierto cuando hay muchísimos muros vacíos en la ciudad en dónde pudieron haber efectuado ese nuevo mural. Pero, en fin... pienso que uno de las cosas hermosas del arte callejero, es lo efímero del mismo ✨
