Hello everyone in this community! Last weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a market organized by the Eje del Buen Vivir (Axis of Good Living), located in the gardens of the Museo de Ciencias (Science Museum) in Caracas, Venezuela. It was being held in celebration of Día del Ceramista (Ceramicist's Day). When I received the invitation, I was thrilled, since I'm just starting to make a name for myself with my creations in the capital, and although there are many bazaars and events, the prices for the stands are rather... high. So I'm glad that the Eje del Buen Vivir space allows artisans to sell during special events.

As always, I was super nervous, haha, but I was already organized, thanks to the experience I gained participating in the bazaars last month while I was out of town. This time, though, I also made my outfit a part of the whole thing, even choosing to wear a couple of wigs, haha. I received so many lovely comments because of it, and I took the opportunity to talk about my products. I feel like I improved a lot compared to my first time participating in the market, thanks to being able to interact with the public at the previous bazaars. That way, I felt much more confident talking about my creations and receiving compliments on my products, which also made me feel more confident about continuing to promote them.

Of course, my fellow artisans had incredible work on their tables. I'm always impressed by what the men and women who attend the market create, since it's not about buying things (in bazaars, it's common to see resellers, especially of imported goods); what you'll find at these kinds of events are products made especially by these artisans, where you can see the love and effort they put into their creations. I, of course, was amazed, and at first, I confess I was a little embarrassed, because I even thought my products weren't up to their "level" haha, but several artisans were delighted with my creations, which made me very happy.

I had really good sales compared to other bazaars and markets I've attended, so I can say it was a successful weekend for me. Not only did I gain more confidence in my business and new followers on my social media, but now a new creative phase is beginning, as I need to restock my inventory and introduce new products. While I wait for the next opportunity to attend a bazaar/market, I'll be preparing, offering everything through my Instagram, and of course, I hope to share all the details and creative processes with you through my blog 💚 So, stay tuned for updates from this artisan fairy 🧚✨

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad! El fin de semana pasado tuve la maravillosa oportunidad de participar en un mercadillo del Eje del Buen Vivir, ubicado en los jardines del Museo de Ciencias de Caracas (Venezuela). El mismo iba a efectuarse en celebración del Día del Ceramista. Cuando recibí la invitación, me alegré mucho, ya que en la capital, apenas estoy dándome a conocer con mis creaciones y aunque hay muchos bazares y eventos, los precios de los stands son algo... elevados, por lo que me alegro que en el espacio del eje, se les permita a los artesanos vender durante eventos especiales.

Como siempre, estaba muy nerviosa jaja pero ya me había organizado, con la experiencia que adquirí participando en los bazares del mes pasado mientras me encontraba fuera de la ciudad, sólo que esta vez, también hice que mi outfit formase parte de todo, escogiendo hasta usar un par de pelucas jaja recibí muchos lindos comentarios gracias a ello y aprovechaba entonces de hablarles sobre mis productos. Siento que mejoré mucho a comparación con mi primera participación en el mercadillo, gracias a que pude interactuar con el público en los bazares anteriores. De esa forma, me sentía con mucha confianza al hablar sobre mis creaciones y recibir halagos de mis productos, también hacía que me sintiera más segura de seguir promocionándolos.

Por supuesto, mis compañeros artesanos tenían en sus mesas trabajos increíbles. Siempre me impresiona lo que hacen los hombres y mujeres que terminan asistiendo al mercadillo, ya que no se trata de cosas compradas (en los bazares, es normal ver a revendedores, sobre todo de productos importados); lo que hallarás en este tipo de eventos son productos hechos especialmente por esos artesanos, en donde se puede ver el cariño y esfuerzo que le ponen a sus creaciones. Yo, por supuesto, quedé maravillada y al principio, confieso que estaba un poco apenada, pues llegué a pensar que mis productos no estaban a su "nivel" jaja pero varias artesanas quedaron encantadas con mis creaciones, lo que me hizo sentir muy feliz.

Tuve muy buenas ventas, en comparación a otros bazares y mercadillos a los que he asistido, así que puedo decir que fue un fin de semana exitoso para mí. No sólo obtuve una mayor confianza en mi emprendimiento, conseguí nuevos seguidores en mis redes, sino que ahora, se viene una nueva etapa de creación, pues debo recuperar mi stock e introducir nuevos productos. Mientras la siguiente oportunidad de asistir a un bazar/mercadillo aparece, estaré preparándome, ofreciendo todo a través de mi instagram y por supuesto, espero hablarles de todos los detalles y de los procesos de creación, a través de mi blog 💚 Así que, estén al tanto de las actualizaciones de esta hada artesana🧚✨
