Hello to all members of this community and photography lovers! Now that I'm home and have access to my laptop again, I've been going through some files, including the photos I took on my outings last year. Before I dedicated myself fully to sewing, I spent some time exploring the city, learning where some galleries and museums were located, just for fun. That's how I ended up one day at the Juan Pedro Posani Museum of Architecture, which is located on Bolívar Avenue (Caracas, Venezuela).

Its structure caught my attention so much that I ventured inside. I was a little nervous, and I think the security guard noticed, haha, when I asked him what the place was and if I could explore it. He kindly welcomed me and invited me to tour the museum. Unfortunately, the second floor wasn't open when I went, so it's possible that it will be open by the time I write this.

Until then, I had only seen scale models of buildings a couple of times, mostly in shopping malls. I always found it fascinating to see those small models of something that had already been built. As I walked around, I recognized some drawings of structures I know, such as La Flor de Venezuela, which is located in the city of Barquisimeto. It's a beautiful structure that I hope to visit again on my next trips to that city.

Similarly, I couldn't help but think of my sister @maisugar. She was always drawn to architecture, but never had the chance to study it. I'm quite creative, but I admit I'm incapable of building a decent house in simulation video games, whereas my sister always managed to create incredible houses. I wonder how she would have fared if she had studied architecture.

Returning to the museum, as I mentioned, I took the time to examine the models on display, finding some interesting examples of huts. Most instructive, however, was the information about the structures available for visitors to read. It's incredible how thoroughly a structure must be studied before its construction; it's not simply a matter of erecting it or making something pretty—everything has a purpose.

The model that impressed me the most, of course, was that of the Helicoide, a building constructed as part of the city's development, with the hope that it would become a successful commercial center. Its history is fascinating, and the model is enormous.

It was a very interesting visit. Apparently, the museum has some architecture books available, so it would be great to go back another time to look through them 😌

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de las fotografías! Ahora que estoy en casa y tengo acceso de nuevo a mi laptop, he estado revisando algunos archivos, entre ellos, las fotografías que tomé de mis salidas del año pasado. Antes de que me dedicara de lleno a la costura, estuve conociendo un poco la ciudad, aprendiendo dónde se hallaban ubicadas algunas galerías y museos, con fines recreativos. Fue así como acabé llegando un día al Museo de Arquitectura Juan Pedro Posani, el cual se encuentra ubicado en la Avenida Bolívar (Caracas - Venezuela).

Me llamó tanto la atención su estructura, que me aventuré a ingresar. Estaba algo nerviosa y creo que lo notó el vigilante jaja al preguntarle qué era ese lugar y si podía explorarlo, amablemente me dio la bienvenida y me invitó a recorrer los espacios del Museo. Lamentablemente en el momento que fui, no se hallaba disponible la parte del segundo piso, así que puede ser que al momento de escribir estas líneas, ya esté abierta esa zona.

Hasta ese momento, sólo había podido ver maquetas sobre edificaciones un par de veces, más que nada en centros comerciales. Siempre me pareció fascinante ver esos pequeños modelos de algo que ya había sido construido. A medida que recorría el lugar, pude reconocer algunos dibujos de estructuras que conozco, como por ejemplo La Flor de Venezuela, la cual se encuentra en la ciudad de Barquisimeto . Es una bella estructura a la que espero volver a visitar en mis siguientes visitas a esa ciudad.

Del mismo modo, me fue inevitable pensar en mi hermana @maisugar, a ella siempre le llamó la atención la carrera de arquitectura, pero no tuvo la oportunidad de estudiarla. Yo soy bastante creativa, pero admito que soy incapaz de hacer una casa decente en los videojuegos de simulación, en cambio mi hermana, siempre lograba hacer casas increíbles. Me pregunto qué tal le hubiera ido si estudiaba aquella carrera.

Volviendo al museo, como mencioné, me tomé el tiempo de examinar las maquetas expuestas, encontrándome con algunos modelos interesantes de chozas y lo más instructivo, era la información sobre las construcciones se hallaban expuestas para la lectura del visitante. Es increíble cómo se debe de estudiar muy bien una estructura antes de su construcción, no es simplemente levantar la misma o hacer algo lindo, todo tiene su propósito.

La maqueta que más me impresionó, por supuesto, fue la del Helicoide, el cual fue una edificación que fue creada como parte del progreso de la ciudad, con la esperanza de que fuera un lugar comercial exitoso. Su historia es fascinante y la maqueta es enorme.

Fue una visita muy interesante, según parece, en el museo se puede tener acceso a algunos libros de arquitectura, así que sería genial ir en otra ocasión para poder examinarlos 😌
