Hello to all the members of this community, photography and art lovers! Since I've been in the capital, I've tried to make the most of my available time at work, and now that I know how to get to some museums and galleries, they have become the places I choose most of the time when I want to clear my mind from the excessive use of technology. During my first visits to galleries, I found it a bit difficult to stay still and concentrate on the works, perhaps due to my dependence on technology. But as a lover of silence and my own company, little by little I began to enjoy those times and those spaces.

Fortunately, in the city of Caracas (Venezuela), there are several venues dedicated to exhibiting works of art, which are constantly being renovated, so there are always new artists to discover. This time, I'll show you the photographs I took during my visit to an exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts.

Through the exhibition, I came across projects by 12 contemporary artists who based their work on the work of 12 other artists, whose works are part of the Fundación Museos Nacionales collection. In this way, through arduous biographical research or through their own experience living with these masters, the artists created work that could connect with them, like a kind of artistic bond.

This is the second time I've encountered this type of exhibition, where an artist creates a work based on another artist or on the work of someone they admire. I think it's a good way to pay homage to someone or see how two people can handle the same concept. I'm not an expert on theoretical topics related to the art world. When I go to these exhibitions, I always go with a blank mind and let myself be guided by what I feel after observing what's before my eyes. These moments of contemplation are very fascinating for me, because I feel they awaken my sensitivity.

As I've mentioned in previous posts, until I started visiting these galleries and museums, I didn't have much knowledge of the different artistic movements. I generally thought oil paintings were the only things to be found there. But the sculptures, assemblages, and collages now capture my attention. I really enjoy stopping to examine these pieces because it's truly incredible what can be achieved with materials one could never have imagined using. While on the platform, I became interested in making digital collages and later ventured into making physical collages. Now that I've come across several collages as part of exhibitions, my appreciation for them has only grown.

The same goes for other types of materials. When I come across a new exhibition, I feel the desire to create something. Doesn't that happen to you? It's very inspiring 😌 I'd like to, in the future, create a piece based on the work of an artist I admire and, without being too ambitious, be an inspiration for someone else at some point. That would be wonderful 🎨

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad, amantes de la fotografía y del arte! Desde que me encuentro en la capital, he tratado de aprovechar al máximo mi disponibilidad de horario a la hora de trabajar y ahora que sé cómo llegar a algunos museos y galerías, los mismos se han vuelto los lugares que la mayoría del tiempo, escojo cuando deseo despejar mi mente del excesivo uso de la tecnología. Durante mis primeras visitas a las galerías, me costaba un poco quedarme quieta y concentrarme en las obras, tal vez por mi dependencia a la tecnología. Pero como amante del silencio y de mi propia compañía, poco a poco comencé a disfrutar de esos tiempos y esos espacios.

Para mi buena fortuna, en la ciudad de Caracas (Venezuela), hay varios lugares destinados a la exposición de obras de arte, los cuales están en constante renovación, así que siempre hay nuevos artistas para conocer. En ésta oportunidad, les mostraré las fotografías que obtuve durante mi visita a una exposición que se encontraba en el Museo de Bellas Artes.

A través de la exhibición, me encontré con proyectos realizados por 12 artistas contemporáneas que realizaron sus obras basándose en otras 12 artistas, cuyos trabajos forman parte de la colección Fundación Museos Nacionales. De esa forma, a través de una ardua investigación biográfica o de la propia experiencia al convivir con estas maestras, las artistas realizaron un trabajo que pudiera entrar en comunión con ellas, como una especie de lazo artístico.

Es la segunda vez que me encuentro con éste tipo de propuestas, en donde un artista, realiza una obra basándose en otra o en el trabajo de alguien que admira. Me parece que es una buena forma de rendirle homenaje a alguien o ver cómo dos personas puedes manejar el mismo concepto. No soy experta en temas teóricos sobre el mundo artístico. Cuando voy a estas exposiciones, siempre voy con la mente en blanco y me dejo llevar por lo que siento, luego de observar lo que está ante mis ojos. Esos momentos de contemplación, son muy fascinantes para mí, porque siento que despiertan mi sensibilidad.

Como comenté en posts pasados, hasta que comencé a asistir a estas galerías y museos, no tenía un conocimiento tan vasto sobre los diferentes movimientos artísticos existentes. Por lo general, pensaba que los cuadros hechos al óleo, era lo único que podría hallarse en estos lugares. Pero las esculturas, los ensamblajes y los collages, ahora capturan mi atención. Me gusta mucho detenerme a detallar esas piezas, porque es realmente increíble lo que puede llegar a hacerse con materiales que uno nunca pudo haberse imaginado usar. Estando en la plataforma, me encariñé con la elaboración de collages digitales y posteriormente, me aventuré a hacer collages físicos. Ahora que me he encontrado varios collages formando parte de exposiciones, mi aprecio por los mismos, no ha hecho más que aumentar.

Lo mismo ocurre con otro tipo de materiales. Cuando me encuentro con una nueva exposición, surge en mí ese deseo de crear algo ¿No les ocurre? Es muy inspirador 😌 Me gustaría en un futuro, poder crear alguna obra basándome en el trabajo de un artista que admire y sin ser muy ambicioso, ser en algún momento, la inspiración para alguien más. Eso sería maravilloso 🎨
