(ENG/ESP) 📸✨ INFLUENCERS: Tributes and Reinterpretations / INFLUENCERS: Homenajes y Reinterpretaciones📸✨
ENGLISH CONTENT
Hello to all members of this community, photography and art lovers! This time I'm here to show you the photographs I took of the works exhibited at the Armando Reverón Museum of Contemporary Art in Caracas, Venezuela, under the title "Influencers: Homages and Reinterpretations."
I learned about this exhibition through social media and had the opportunity to visit it twice. The first visit was quite enjoyable, as I met a gentleman who was also an art lover. He accompanied me throughout the visit and told me about his experiences visiting galleries and museums. Although, more than anything, we ended up fascinated by the colors and materials used.

These works were created by artists influenced by existing works, but not with the intention of replicating them, but rather of reinterpreting them through the current perspective, so that the works seem to be a bridge between the past and the present.

Next to each work was a small photograph so that the viewer could appreciate the artist's inspiration. On several occasions, these were iconic paintings represented as sculptures. The wooden pieces were quite impressive, as in the case of "Las Meninas."

But without a doubt, my favorite was "The Last Supper," since it was a kind of painting that mixed collage, containing various objects within the composition, but the most striking, or at least my favorites, were the buttons. Many buttons of different shapes were glued on to form the characters' clothing and part of the background. I like collecting buttons, but I don't have anywhere near that many, haha.

I'd already seen this kind of artistic movement in the digital realm, where people are motivated to take something that already exists and adapt it to their own style, so it was fantastic to see it in this context. While the original works are magnificent in themselves, it's true that everyone has their own unique perspective, and through the sensitivity and style of other artists, the results can be truly fascinating.

✨ Thank you so much for visiting my post. I hope you found it interesting ✨
💚 Until next time! 💚
