Hello to all members of this community and lovers of street art! Unfortunately, I'm here to show you what would be the last discoveries I made during my stay in the city of Barquisimeto (Venezuela). Despite this, I'm very happy to have discovered new art, unlike my other trips, as well as being able to photograph some murals I'd already had my eye on.

The first one I'll tell you about is one of those I've been wanting to photograph for a while. It's located almost in the city center, more specifically on Avenida Vargas, as part of the decoration of the Martín Tovar y Tovar School of Fine Arts, so I imagine the mural was made by students from that school. Although it was somewhat difficult for me to photograph it because the tree branches were quite long.

Now, I'll show you a couple of graffiti from the "Smile" series, which is a phrase I've encountered several times in the city and I imagine is done by the same artist. The first one, I almost missed because of the background, except I recognized the character standing right next to it as The Bogeyman from The Powerpuff Girls. Encountering that character was like going back to my childhood for a moment, because that episode was iconic in its time. The other one, although it only has the word, made me smile immediately 😊 These are located in the city center.

Now, very close to the Dean's Office of Arts and Humanities, I came across a peculiar drawing of a mouse accompanying some graffiti on one of the walls. I really like these drawings, even though they're simple.

I was also able to find some graffiti in the center with less complicated letters, but with colors I really liked. On a white background, a more intense color will always stand out.

As always, when the color green is the protagonist, my attention is immediately captured 💚 I love how the porosity of the wall gives the graffiti a textured effect.

Finally, this isn't a mural or graffiti, but there was a sculpture I'd been staring at every time I headed to the terminal and wanted to photograph. It's an apple that gives the illusion of being pixelated. I love it! Apples are my favorite fruit, and that sculpture looks fabulous. Maybe it will oxidize over time and lose its color, so I'm glad I was able to photograph it. Since I didn't know where to upload it and found it on the street, to me, it's urban art, haha ​​😁

Well, as I mentioned at the beginning of the post, this is all the street art material I have at the moment. So far, I haven't ventured out to places in the capital where the murals and graffiti are located, so I hope to return to my adventures soon and make new discoveries.

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes del arte callejero! Lamentablemente, vengo a mostrarles los que serían los últimos hallazgos que hice durante mi estadía en la ciudad de Barquisimeto (Venezuela), a pesar de ello, estoy muy contenta de haber conseguido arte nuevo, a diferencia de mis otros viajes, así como poder fotografiar algunos murales que ya tenía en la mira.

El primero del cual les hablaré, es de esos que tenía rato queriendo fotografiar. Se encuentra casi llegando a la zona centro de la ciudad, más específicamente en la Avenida Vargas, como parte del decorado de la Escuela de Artes plásticas "Martín Tovar y Tovar", así que me imagino que el mural, fue hecho por alumnos de esa escuela. Aunque se me hizo algo difícil fotografiarlo porque las ramas de los árboles estaban bastantes largas.

Ahora, les mostraré un par de grafitis de la serie "Sonrie", la cual, es una frase que he encontrado varias veces en la ciudad y me imagino, es realizada por el mismo artista. La primera, casi la paso desapercibida por el fondo, de no ser que reconocí al personaje que se hallaba justo al lado es El Coco de Las chicas superpoderosas. Encontrarme con aquel personaje fue como regresar un momento a mi infancia, porque ese capítulo, era icónico en su tiempo. El otro, aunque sólo tiene la palabra, me hizo sonreír de inmediato 😊 Estos, se encuentran en el centro de la ciudad.

Ahora, muy cerca del decanato de Artes y Humanidades, me hallé con el peculiar dibujo de un ratoncito acompañando unos grafitis en uno de los muros. Me gustan mucho estos dibujos, a pesar de ser algo sencillo.

También pude hallar en el centro unos grafitis de letras no tan complicadas, pero con colores que me gustaron mucho. En un fondo blanco, siempre resaltará un color más intenso.

Como siempre, cuando el color verde es el protagonista, mi atención es captada de inmediata 💚 Me encanta como la porosidad del muro, le da al grafiti un efecto de textura.

Para finalizar, no se trata de un mural ni un grafiti, pero había una escultura que tenía tiempo viendo cada vez que me dirigía al terminal y deseaba fotografiarla. Se trata de una manzana que da la ilusión de ser pixelada ¡Me fascina! La manzana es mi fruta favorita y esa escultura se ve fabulosa. Tal vez, se oxide con el tiempo y pierda su color, así que me alegra de haber podido fotografiarlo. Como no sabía dónde subirlo y lo encontré en la calle, para mí, es arte urbano jaja 😁

Bien, como comenté al inicio del post, esto es todo el material que tengo por los momentos, correspondiente a arte callejero. Hasta los momentos no he vuelto a aventurarme a salir a lugares de la capital, en donde se encuentran los murales y grafitis, así que espero volver dentro de poco a mis andanzas y hacer nuevos hallazgos.
