Hello to all the members of this community and cat lovers! I've been in the countryside for a week now, and just like when I'm in the city, time has flown by so fast I haven't even noticed, haha. Luckily, these past few days I've finally managed to get a few pictures of my cat, Ikki. You'd think it would be easy to get a picture of a cat, but Ikki is a little panther, and the lighting at the house where I'm staying isn't great at all. So, the only way to get a clear picture of him, one that shows how beautiful he is and doesn't just make him look like a simple black blur, is to have Ikki outside. And when that happens, the last thing he wants is to be photographed because he hates cameras! 😩 So, he won't hesitate to walk away when he notices he's being filmed.

Ikki freshly bathed; the first thing he did after I dried him with his towel was roll around in the dirt 😆

One of my greatest "victories" was managing to bathe Ikki. It's not something I do all the time, only when I see it as strictly necessary, like when I notice he's very dirty (he loves to roll in the dirt and goes from black to dark brown), until his fur gets stiff, or as part of a flea treatment. This time, Ikki behaved much better than last time, and I only got a small scratch on my hand as damage, haha, but that night and the following nights, he slept peacefully, without waking up much to scratch himself. Not to mention that maybe it also helps him feel fresher, because his fur is clean.

Ikki often looks for cool places to nap in the afternoon, like that corner on the wall. I had to use the camera flash (which I usually avoid) because he was so dark you couldn't see him 🖤

Despite his prickly nature, I still consider Ikki my little baby, which is why he sometimes surprises me with his tenderness. Yesterday, the first thing he did when I put my bag of magazine clippings on the bed was climb inside. That didn't surprise me, because even though Ikki has lost his taste for boxes, I know he still likes plastic bags; what surprised me was the expression he made inside the bag. I didn't need to use the flash, but when I increased the camera's brightness, I could see his face, with dilated pupils and an expression I'm so glad I was able to capture 😇 I left him there, although he retreated after a few minutes.

😍 I can't get over that cute face! How can you not love him?! 😍

There are more cats here. When Ikki arrived, there were about six more cats, but some left and others, sadly, passed away. It's worth mentioning that all the cats who have been here come from the countryside and either end up staying or leave over time. So, currently, there are only two cats besides Ikki. Sadly, they don't get along with Ikki, or it would be more accurate to say that Ikki can't stand them because he always starts fights 😅 so there's a rule to prevent a "cat-astrophe" hehe. One of those beautiful cats, I call him "the prince"; He has another name, but because he is so tender and lets himself be petted, as well as sit and bask in the sun, I like to think of him as the "prince of the sun" 👑☀️.

😇 For an orange-colored cat, he's quite calm 😇

The other cat, strangely enough, doesn't like cuddles. Even if you speak to him sweetly or pet him, he moves away, not as if he's afraid of human contact, but as if it actually bothers or disgusts him, haha, it makes me laugh. He has a rather elegant bearing and beautiful eyes. I don't have a nickname for him, but when I see him nearby, I pet him, even though I know that inside, he must see me as an "intense human" 😆 haha. Those have been the events of this week for the felines of the countryside. A fairly quiet few days that we hope will continue ✨

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de los gatos! Hace una semana que estoy en el campo y al igual que cuando estoy en la ciudad, me las he arreglado para que el tiempo pase tan rápido que ni cuenta me he dado jaja por suerte, estos días pude por fin obtener una que otra foto de mi gato Ikki. Cualquiera diría que es sencillo conseguir una fotografía de un gato, pero Ikki es una panterita y en la casa en donde me quedo, la iluminación no es para nada buena, así que la única forma de obtener una imagen de él, nítida, dónde se aprecie lo bello que es y no luzca como una simple mancha negra, es sí o sí, con Ikki estando en el exterior y cuando eso pasa, lo menos que él desea, es ser fotografiado porque ¡Odia la cámara! 😩 Por lo que, no dudará en alejarse cuando note que está siendo enfocado.

Ikki recién bañado; lo primero que hizo luego de que lo sequé con su paño, fue revolcarse en la tierra 😆

Una de mis grandes "victorias", fue lograr bañar a Ikki. No es algo que haga todo el tiempo, sólo cuando lo veo estrictamente necesario, como lo es cuando noto que está muy tierroso (le encanta revolcarse en la tierra y pasa de color negro a marrón oscuro), hasta que su pelaje se pone tieso o como parte de un tratamiento para las pulgas. En esta ocasión, Ikki se portó mucho mejor que la vez pasada y sólo recibí un pequeño rasguño en una mano como daño jaja pero esa noche y las que restaron, durmió plácidamente, sin despertarse tanto para rascarse. Sin mencionar que tal vez, eso también lo ayude a refrescarse, porque tiene el pelaje limpio.

Ikki suele buscar lugares frescos para dormir por la tarde, como esa esquina en la pared. Tuve que usar el flash de la cámara (cosa que evito), porque no se veía en medio de la negrura 🖤

A pesar de su carácter tan arisco, yo considero que Ikki sigue siendo mi pequeño bebé, por eso, hay veces que me sorprende con su ternura. Ayer, lo primero que hizo cuando coloqué mi bolsa con recortes de revistas sobre la cama, fue meterse dentro de ella. Eso no me sorprendió, porque aunque Ikki perdió sus gustos por las cajas, sé que aún le gustan las bolsas plásticas; lo que me sorprendió fue la expresión que puso al estar dentro de la bolsa. No tuve necesidad de usar flash, pero al subirle el brillo a la cámara, pude apreciar su carita, con las pupilas dilatadas y una expresión que me alegra haber podido capturar 😇 Lo dejé esar ahí, aunque se retiró a los pocos minutos.

😍 ¡No puedo con esa carita tan linda! ¡¿Cómo no amarlo?! 😍

Aquí, hay mas gatos. Cuando Ikki llegó, habían alrededor de seis gatos más, pero algunos se fueron y otros, lamentablemente fallecieron. Cabe mencionar que todos los gatos que han estado en este lugar, llegan desde el campo y terminan quedándose aquí o se van con el tiempo. Así que, actualmente, sólo hay dos gatos aparte de Ikki. Tristemente, ellos no se llevan bien con Ikki o sería más acertado decir que Ikki no los puede ver porque siempre inicia todas las peleas 😅 por lo que hay una regla de evitar que suceda una "gatastrofe" jeje uno de esos gatos bellos, yo lo llamo "el príncipe"; tiene otro nombre, pero como es tan tierno y se deja acariciar, así como sentarse a llevar sol, me gusta pensar que es el "príncipe del sol" 👑☀️.

😇 Para ser un naranjoso, es bastante tranquilo 😇

El otro gato extrañamente, no gusta de los mimos. A pesar de que le hables bonito o le acaricies, se aparta, pero no como si tuviera miedo del contacto humano, sino como si realmente le fastidiara o le diera asco jajaja me causa gracia. Tiene un porte algo elegante y unos ojos preciosos. No le tengo ningún apodo, pero cuando lo veo cerca, lo acaricio, aunque sé que por dentro, debe verme como una "humana intensa" 😆 jaja Esos han sido los acontecimientos de esta semana para los felinos del campo. Unos días bastante tranquilos que esperemos, sigan así ✨
