Hello to all the members of this community and mural lovers! After being missing for a long time, I'm back to join round #259 of the weekly contest. For about two weeks now, I've been spending a few days outside the capital, more specifically in Barquisimeto (Venezuela) and to my surprise, I came across several relatively new murals and others that I hadn't been able to photograph, so with great joy, I'm here to nominate one of them as my participation.

The mural is located in the city center, on Carrera 24 and Calle 19, an area I don't frequent much, so I stumbled upon it by chance. It's a drawing along a long wall that depicts aspects of rural life. I'm fascinated by the mural's expansiveness, but at the same time, it frustrates me because it's hard for me to photograph these types of murals completely so they can be appreciated in the same way as on-site viewers. Typically, when these types of large murals are done in busy places, you'll always find people working or vehicles parked in front of them, obstructing your view (there are a couple of these murals in the city, waiting for the perfect moment to photograph them), but luckily, this wasn't the case.

Even so, I had to step back far enough to capture the entire mural as best I could under the watchful eye of a parked driver. Whenever possible, I like to take photographs of sections of the drawings, to get a closer look or when I find a part that becomes my favorite. Some people are surprised when they see me photographing street art, but this time, even a passerby wanted to pose when he saw me and agreed with me about the beauty of the mural. I don't know who did it, but it must be some artist hired as part of the city's beautification program, because there are several murals of this type. The next step is to hope that it holds up despite the intensity of the sun's rays in the region.

Luckily, I found more murals on my hikes, and I even went out one day specifically to photograph the murals I'd seen from afar. It was so exciting; I felt like a real mural hunter, haha. I plan to show them to you in future posts, so I'll be happy to contribute content to the community again ✨

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de los murales! Luego de estar desaparecida por un largo rato, vuelvo para sumarme a la ronda #259 del concurso semanal. Desde hace unos quince días más o menos, he estado pasando unos días fuera de la capital, más específicamente en Barquisimeto (Venezuela) y para mi sorpresa, me hallé con varios murales relativamente nuevos y otros que no había podido fotografiar, así que con mucha alegría, vengo a postular uno de ellos como mi participación.

El mural se encuentra en el centro de la ciudad, en la carrera 24 con calle 19, una zona que no transito mucho, así que me encontré el mismo por casualidad. Se trata de un dibujo realizado a lo largo de un extenso muro que muestra algunos aspectos de una vida rural. Me fascina lo amplio que es el mural, pero al mismo tiempo me frustra porque no se me hace sencillo fotografiar este tipo de murales de forma completa y que puedan apreciarse del mismo modo que lo hacemos los espectadores presenciales. Por lo general, cuando hacen estos tipos de murales extensos en lugares concurridos, siempre te encuentras con personas trabajando o vehículos estacionados frente a ellos, obstaculizando su visión (hay un par de esos murales en la ciudad, esperando hallar el momento idóneo para fotografiarlos), pero por suerte, no fue éste el caso.

Aún así, tuve que alejarme lo suficiente para cuadrar lo mejor posible el mural completo bajo la mirada de un conductor que estaba estacionado. Cuando se puede, me gusta tomar fotografías en secciones de los dibujos, para detallarlos o cuando encuentro alguna parte que se vuelve mi favorita. Algunas personas se extrañan cuando me ven fotografiando arte callejero, pero esta vez, hasta un transeúnte quiso posar cuando me vio y estuvo de acuerdo conmigo con la belleza del mural. No sé quién lo realizó, pero debe ser de algún artista contratado como parte del embellecimiento de la ciudad, porque hay varios murales de este tipo. Lo siguiente, es esperar a que se conserve a pesar de la intensidad de los rayos solares que hay en la región.

Por suerte, conseguí más murales en mis caminatas y hasta salí un día específicamente a fotografiar esos murales que había visto de lejos. Fue muy emocionante, me sentí como una verdadera cazadora de murales jaja Tengo pensado mostrárselos en próximas publicaciones, así que con alegría volveré a aportar contenido en la comunidad ✨
