ENGLISH CONTENT

Hello to all the members of this community and cat lovers! Going through a period of emotional lows wouldn't be easy for me if it weren't for the wonderful presence of Ying, my sister's cat, whom I affectionately call "my feline nephew." Since my sister works outside the home during the day and I work from home, I try to make the most of the time I spend with Ying. Sometimes I comb him, play with him, and I always carry him too much (to the point that he runs away when he realizes I'm going to carry him).

Ying: Why didn't you tell me about this cozy spot, human? 😺

Having an established routine between us, it would be understandable to think that nothing new could arrive or happen. But, when it comes to cats, there's always something that makes us go "Awwww... 😳" and in this case, that was the reaction I had when Ying decided to lie down in a new place, I imagine attracted by the scent of my sister's sweater. Once he lay down in that part of the room, he slept peacefully for several hours. Coincidentally, last week, Ying had a fondness for a specific blanket and was interested in it for two days... but he's since lost interest and never touched it again 😆

Inexplicably, his attention was drawn again to a blanket that does belong to him (in fact, Ying has two blankets that are exclusively his). My sister had placed some catnip on it, but Ying didn't show much interest in that rag until recently, when he went back to sleeping on it. This Saturday morning, I found him playing with the blanket, kneading and rolling it with great excitement, as if he were scratching it. When he grew tired of that game, he lay down on it. I can't help but see that photograph as something worthy of becoming an oil painting, the fabric conveniently folded and a beautiful feline perched on it... cats are definitely art 🎨

It's hard to stay sad when you see something so cute 😳

Now that I've looked at it better, Ying's collar needs replacing. I made the one he's wearing myself about two years ago using a thin ribbon I bought especially for him. It turned out pretty well because it hasn't been damaged after washing (unlike my cat Ikki's collars, which don't last long 😆). I don't think I have any red ribbon, which is what my sister prefers to put on Ying, so I'll see if I can find some of that same material around where I live or see how I can make do with some red fabric. The good thing is that I can reuse the clasp, since it's in good condition. I think such a beautiful cat deserves a better collar. Sorry, Ying, for leaving you out all this time 😓

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de los gatos! Pasar por una etapa de bajones emocionales no sería nada fácil para mí si no contase con la presencia maravillosa de Ying, el gato de mi hermana y al que llamo por cariño "mi sobrino gatuno". Como mi hermana trabaja durante el día fuera de casa y yo, permanezco homeoffice, así que el tiempo que paso junto a Ying procuro aprovecharlo al máximo. A veces, lo peino, juego con él y siempre lo cargo demasiado (hasta el punto de que huye cuando se percata de que voy a cargarlo).

Ying: ¿Por qué no me habías hablado de éste cómodo lugar, humana? 😺

Teniendo establecida una rutina entre nosotros, sería comprensible pensar que nada nuevo podría llegar o ocurrir. Pero, cuando se trata de gatos, siempre habrá algo que nos haga exclamar "Awwww... 😳" y en éste caso, esa fue la reacción que tuve cuando Ying decidió acostarse en un lugar nuevo, me imagino que llamado por el aroma del suéter de mi hermana. Una vez que se acostó en esa parte de la habitación, permaneció durmiendo plácidamente por varias horas. Casualmente, la semana pasada, Ying tenía afición por una cobija en específica y estuvo dos días interesado en ella... pero ya se le pasó el interés y más nunca la volvió a tocar 😆

Inexplicablemente, su atención se dirigió de nuevo a una frazada que sí le pertenece (de hecho, Ying tiene dos frazadas que son exclusivamente suyas). Mi hermana, le había colocado algo de catnip, pero Ying no se mostró muy interesado en ese trapo hasta en estos días, que volvió a buscar de dormir en él e inclusive, esta mañana de sábado me encontré con que estaba jugando con la frazada, amasándola y enrollándola con mucha emoción, como si la estuviera arañando. Cuando se cansó de ese juego, se acostó sobre ella. No puedo dejar de ver esa fotografía como algo digno de volverse una pintura al óleo, la tela convenientemente doblada y un hermoso felino, posada sobre ella... definitivamente, los gatos son arte 🎨

Es difícil permanecer triste cuando ves algo tan lindo 😳

Ahora que lo he observado mejor, el collar de Ying necesita ser reemplazado. El que lleva puesto, se lo elaboré yo misma hace como unos dos años con una cinta delgada que compré especialmente para él. Quedó bastante bien, porque tras las lavadas no se ha dañado (distinto a los collares de mi gato Ikki, que no le duran nada 😆). No creo tener cinta roja, que es la que prefiere mi hermana para colocarle a Ying, así que veré si puedo conseguir algo de cinta de ese mismo material por donde vivo o ver cómo me las ingenio con tela roja, lo bueno, es que puedo reutilizar el broche, ya que está en buen estado. Considero que un gato tan bello, merece tener un collar mejor. Lo siento Ying, por dejarte de lado todo éste tiempo 😓
