Hello to all the members of this community and fashion lovers! From a very young age, I've been dressed in hand-me-downs, but that never bothered me because the clothes were in such excellent condition that they looked like they'd been bought. So, wearing clothes that had been previously worn by someone else has never been a problem for me. Even less so after I learned to sew and dared to remake clothes. I'd rather have used clothes continue to come to me! 😆

In the case of the dress I'm showing you in today's post, it was one that was given to my sister and that she later gave to me as a gift. It was too big around the bust and the zipper was damaged, so for many months, I kept it stored away, thinking of using the fabric (which has beautiful floral embroidery) for another project, since the fabric is in good condition.

However, after examining the dress closely, I decided, why not give it another chance? I changed the closure, made adjustments to make it fit my body better, and added lace for extra decoration. I liked the result so much that after wearing the dress, I decided to leave it in my closet for a while longer. Not only is it something different, but it's also quite comfortable and cool 🤍

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de la moda! Desde muy pequeña, fui vestida con ropa usada, pero eso nunca me molestó, pues la ropa estaba en tan excelentes condiciones que parecía comprada. Así que, el usar ropa que ha sido usada con anterioridad por otra persona, nunca ha sido un problema para mí. Mucho menos luego que aprendí a coser y me atreví a hacer remodelaciones en la ropa ¡Más bien que la ropa usada no deje de llegar a mí! 😆

En el caso del vestido que les muestro en el post de hoy, fue uno que le regalaron a mi hermana y que posteriormente, ella me dio para que lo regalase. Me quedaba muy grande de la zona del busto y tenía el cierre dañado, así que durante muchos meses, lo tenía guardado, pensando en usar la tela (la cual tiene unos bellos bordados de flores), para otro proyecto, ya que la tela está en buen estado.

Sin embargo, luego de examinar bien el vestido, me dije ¿Por qué no darle otra oportunidad? Le cambié el cierre, le hice los ajustes para que se amoldara más a mi cuerpo y le agregué un encaje para mayor decoración. El resultado me gustó tanto que luego de usar el vestido, decidí dejarlo en mi guardarropa un tiempo más. No sólo es algo diferente sino que es bastante cómodo y fresco 🤍
