Hola, espero estén teniendo un excelente día. Para mi participación de hoy en #HiveAroundTheWorld seleccioné palabras muy venezolanas, esas que, digo más de lo que pensaba y considero que, representan mucho a mi país. Empecé escuchando algunas de mis notas de voz, busqué referencias y recién ahí, escogí las palabras ^^ en el proceso, reafirme que: los venezolanos nos expresamos de manera única, eso que para nosotros es tan cotidiano y muchas veces damos por sentado, no es tan fácil de entender para los demás. Yo creo que, le damos protagonismo a lo que sentimos y somos muy creativos a la hora de hablar. No es raro que, digamos cosas que parecen no tener lógica para la mayoría e incluso, puede que para nosotros tampoco y aún así, nos entendemos.

Hi, I hope you are having a great day. For my participation today in #HiveAroundTheWorld I selected very Venezuelan words, those that, I say more than I thought and I consider that, represent my country a lot. I started listening to some of my voice notes, I looked for references and then I chose the words ^^ in the process, I reaffirmed that: Venezuelans express ourselves in a unique way, that which is so common for us and many times we take for granted, is not so easy to understand for others. I believe that we give prominence to what we feel and we are very creative when it comes to speaking. It is not uncommon for us to say things that seem to have no logic for most people, and maybe not for us either, and even so, we understand each other.

Chama

Es genial, la uso un montón y no es más que, un término para referirse a alguien joven de modo informal. Siempre y cuando exista la confianza necesaria, yo la uso independiente de la edad.

It's great, I use it a lot and it's just a term to refer to someone young in an informal way. As long as there is the necessary confidence, I use it regardless of age.

Pana

Significa amigo y admito que, de un tiempo para acá es que la estoy usando. Antes me nacía muy poco decirla, pero ahora forma parte de mis palabras de uso diario.

It means friend and I admit that, for some time now, I have been using it. I used to say it very seldom, but now it is part of my everyday words.

Marica

Si me caes bien y existe un nivel de confianza significativo, usaré esta palabra sí o sí (⁠｡⁠•̀⁠ᴗ⁠-⁠)⁠✧ para mí, es una mezcla entre chama y pana, lo máximo pues.

If I like you and there is a significant level of trust, I will use this word yes or yes (⁠｡⁠•̀⁠ᴗ⁠-⁠)⁠✧ for me, it's a mix between chama and pana, the maximum then.

Arrecha

La uso para expresar desde la molestia o enojo más intenso, hasta la emoción y admiración más profunda, hacía algo que, me resulta impresionante.

I use it to express anything from the most intense annoyance or anger, to the deepest emotion and admiration for something that I find impressive.

Vaina

Me encanta lo versátil que es esta palabra, sirve para hacer referencia a demasiadas cosas. Cualquier objeto puede ser llamado fácilmente vaina, también, se usa para destacar situaciones problemáticas y comportamientos molestos e imprudentes.

I love how versatile this word is, it can refer to so many things. Any object can easily be called a pod, also, it is used to highlight problematic situations and annoying and reckless behavior.

Chévere

Uff~ Mi palabra favorita, por mucho *.⟡ me parece extremadamente bonita, da gusto decirla. Representa demasiado bien el disfrute y la alegría genuina ante algo agradable.

Uff~ My favorite word, by far *.⟡ I find it extremely beautiful, it's a pleasure to say it. It represents too well the enjoyment and genuine joy in the face of something pleasant.

Admito que, me sentí más venezolana que la arepa haciendo este post 💛💙❤️ fue una experiencia total y absolutamente maravillosa. Estoy impregnada de mi cultura y me siento muy orgullosa de eso. Abordar este tema, me ayudó a elevar mis niveles de conciencia y a conectar con todo lo bonito de mi país, Venezuela ✨🇻🇪 de todo corazón, gracias por tanto y disculpa por tan poco.

I admit, I felt more Venezuelan than arepa making this post 💛💙❤️ it was a total and absolutely wonderful experience. I am steeped in my culture and I feel very proud of that.
