Snow in Bloeidaal

So my first post in the pub , a good place to end after my #wednesdaywalk in the snow , i hope they serve hot choclate milk with some extra to get warm again .😁

Today the wife had to work the late shift from 15:00 till 23:15 so after i dropped her of at work i decided to go for a walk.
The wife is still not allowed to drive after her cataract surgeryso until she can drive safely again I'm the taxi.

It has been a wile since i've been here in Bloeidaal , yesterday i visited the other part of this nature reserve called the Schammer , the weather conditions were a lot better then today.

The weather forecast predicted a snowstorm today but i decided to go anyway , it's not that often that we are treated with snow in our country.

The snow and clouds didn't really help to capture the settings as i wanted to but we managed to capture some of the white .

1 ) The info sign of the nature reserve , you can find it here on the map : https://maps.app.goo.gl/A46n11HniyUf8USY9 the area is also used for drinking water, as a water extraction area.

2 )Through the trees you can see th farm that is where the walk will end :)

3 ) the parking lot with the info sign

4 ) the pathway behind the parking lot

5 ) we go in the other direction

6 ) Every thing is coated with a layer of snow

7 ) ice on the water on the left still to thin to carry my weight

8 ) best to stay on the bridge here , don't want to end up in the water next to it

9 ) the ground is not frozen at all still moddy swamp here

10 ) That is the bridge we just crossed, sorry we didn't end up in the water .

11 ) tree hanging over the path due to the weight of the snow

12 ) the other side of the tree looking back to where we came from

13 ) More frozen water on the right , and it started to snow again tiny snow flakes. no signs / trails of wild life yet .

14 ) onwards we go , the only tracks so far are humans and dogs.

15 ) Alnus / Alder male and female catkins

16 )unlike yesterday no blue sky today

17 ) blackberry bushes on the left look so inocent withe snow on top untill you walk in to them :)

18 ) another tree bended over due to the wight of the snow

19 ) reed flower coverd with snow also bending over

20 ) snow covered branches

21 )looks like the weather is going to get worse , time get back to the car again.

22 ) Another small frozen pond , no animal tracks so they won't drink here i know there are deers in the area from last year.

23 ) Looks like a nice place to live next to nature reserve .

24 ) this is a Bike path but no bike will use it today with all that snow on it

25 )Bike path is good enough to walk on back to the car

26 ) one more turn and then straight on home

27 ) that is where we came from

28 )Almost at the end of this walk i can see the traffic sign.

29 ) This is what it looks like when you come crawling out of the pub .

30 ) yes the end indeed , the same farm where we started so the parking lot is to my right here time to get out of the cold again.
