Part 04 of Amersfoort citywalk From Muurhuizen to Havik

Good day to you all .

Today we continue with my new toy doing Amersfoort citywalk #monomad style where we left you yesterday at Muurhuizen, and today we will continue until we reach Havik.

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge today .

All images are created by me with my Sony A7II + LAOWA FF 15mm F4.5 1:2 Macro lens.

The weather condition was cloudy , but still decent light for photography.

1 ) 'T oude wevershuis , a better shot of the frontdoor where i left you yesterday in https://ecency.com/hive-142159/@stresskiller/part-03-of-amersfoort-citywalk

2 )
Another little green oase in the city

3 )
High doors often meant that one had a lot of money , this building on google maps shows it is a very long building all the way to the next street behind it.
it's an old warehouse, and now converted to residential use. But the old lifting beam is still there.

4 ) a cross the street we find this big door dating back to the 16th century.

5 ) hous nr 241 a nice old solid oak door, actually there a total of three doors they split building in to 3 appartments, hard to tell if it's original or not but they tried to keep authentic.

6 ) Build in 1967 and for sale if you can affort it ... @ph1102 was wondering what housing cost was over here well have a look https://www.funda.nl/detail/koop/amersfoort/huis-muurhuizen-146/43984254/ they even have a sound studio in it for a piano if you wanted to . 🎹

7 ) Now there is a house you don't see every day , dating back to 1593
hard to find any information about it since there is no house nr ..

https://maps.app.goo.gl/zb9Zq1vEeDrc9CEFA

8 ) And when we continue we go left arround the corner to find this house. Dating back to the 17th century and a view on the water, what water ?

9 ) right this water one of the old city canals , i'm looking forward to go back there during the winter to see if people will ice skate on the canals or not like we used to do in Amsterdam in my youth.

10 ) But with all the temperatures rising due to climate problems i wonder if we will ever get to see that kind of winters again here in Holland.

11 ) O and look there is the Havik another street with a canal in the middle , that is where we continue tomorrow on our last day for now .

If you have missed the other parts of the walk have a look here :

Some great photography. I do love the many doorway Fotos, doorways can have a lot of history behind them. I'm sure there are some super interesting ones in Netherlands, particularly Amsterdam.

Hi thank you Steve , i grew up in Amsterdam and indeed there a lot of stories there to be told , just like here in Amersfoort old cities have that Amsterdam is 750 years old this year and Amersfoort even 766 year. Both cities still have a lot of old doors , other cities lost a lot of them during WWII.

BTC will have to go over 1M to buy that house... hahahaha... It looks great inside, tbh...

But the old lifting beam is still there.

I saw that on many buildings in Amsterdam and The Hague... When I went to visit my friend, I understood why they are still using them... The stairway was so narrow that if I ate a bit more, I couldn't pass... 😂
