Kasteel Groeneveld part 3
Good day ,
Today i will be posting the final part of my visit to Kasteel Groeneveld.
I already posted a black and white impression , and today i will post a coloured version of the castle , these are differend photographs then i used in the black and white version !!
3 weeks ago we went to this lovely castle here in Holland called "Kasteel Groeneveld " if you want to visit the place this is their websit it's in Dutch so you might need google translate :) https://www.staatsbosbeheer.nl/kasteel-groeneveld
I will be showing you photographs from both inside the castle and outside .
Before i start a quick question ...
**When was the last time you checked your witness votes on Hive ? **
So many people vote once and forget all about it , but witnesses come and witnesses go , make sure your votes aren't waisted by voting for inactive witnesses , and with inactive i mean witnesses that haven't signed a block for at least more then 30 days .
Right back to the photos ...
i used two cameras with 2 differend lenses
Sony A7II + Laowa 15mm F4.5 1:2 Macro for wide angle and close up macro
and the Sony A7IV + Sony 24-105mm F4 G OSS with polarisation filter still testing that filter need to get used to it , it does cost light to use it +/- 1-2 stops . i will post underneath each photo what combi has been used.
1 ) The tour starts in the basement of the building where the staff would be in the old days. There was this library of old wild life and fauna from the castle .

2 ) These "books" were made from wood and contained text and tree materials the one on theleft says "tulpenboom"also known as Magnolia .

3 ) the book on the right says "Zomereik"

4 ) They have many books like this , each contains things of another tree.

5 ) the items in the European oak book .

6 ) How the castle has evolved since 1710

7 ) The owners of the castle through out the centuries .

8 ) a scale model of the castle as it is today.

9 ) kitchen , it seems that this kitch has been used in an old tv show from my youth called Swiebertje dating back to +/- 1975

10 ) There was a souvenir shop with all kinds of items, like these bags

11 ) and Glass Teacups with different decorations.

12 )

13 )

14 ) Time to explore more of the building , the stairs to the main floor

15 ) stair case going up , the 15mm does really help to capture things like this.

16 ) They had these big chandeliers hanging in each room , not sure if it's made of crystal or glass .

17 )

18 ) looking ot of the window in to the front garden

19 ) large rooms with high ceilings and those big chandeliers , although these days they use LED light instead of candles.

20 ) and these hughe wall paintings in the rooms

21 ) the painting on the left shows differend layers of paintings that they discoverd during the last restoration of the building.

22 ) another big room with wall paintings and a big chandelier

23 ) same room differend angle

24 ) one of the remaining old furniture

25 ) swan with flower decorations

26 ) underneath the chandelier

27 )

28 ) top of the stairway letting daylight in

29 ) looking down on the stairway , the second floor was filled with painting's i already posted those before here : https://ecency.com/@stresskiller/the-exhibition-extraordinary-landscape

30 ) once we were outside i spotted this butterfly on a flower decorations

Time to explore the backyard of the castle for a bit , it was a cloudy day with a bit of rain and hardly any sunshine but we managed to get some nice photos .
31 ) The back yard with sundail and pond

32 ) the back entrance of the castle

33 )

34 )

35 )

36 ) there was a gnome searching track for the kids , there were gnomes hidden along the path big and small and the kids would have to find them.

37 ) and when i say small try 4 cm ...

38 ) the bigger ones were more like garden gnome size +/- 20 - 30 cm

39 ) due to the long draught we have had here in holland the water in the ponds were very low.

40 ) more gnomes spotted

41 )

42 ) water level should be 30-40cm higher we really need some rain soon and not just one day this needs at least some weeks of rain.

43 ) some local wild life ducks and a blue haron

44 ) old couple walking with their barking cat / small dog

45 ) wider view of the pond at 24mm with reflections on the water , old couple in the distance and the blue haron is also in the picture .

46 ) same view at 15 mm

47 ) more ducks in the pond

48 ) backside of the castle with a reflection in the water.

49 ) backside of the castle

50 ) typical when you decide to go home the sky opens up ..

that is all for today i hop eyou enjoyed the tour .

I have to say I’m amazed, it’s a place full of art. First of all, I’ll talk about that swan with flowers, which is identical to one that was at the high school where I took art exams as a teenager; there was one just like it that was used as a model for the most advanced students.
Then there’s the opulence of the staircases and chandeliers, the murals on the walls, that beautifully preserved antique kitchen, and what I liked best of all, the books in the basement. Of course, the exterior is absolutely stunning, what a wonderful garden! Your photos are spectacular. Thank you so much, and a big hug!🤗
I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project! Check out our Reading Suggestions posts!
Please consider voting for our Liotes HIVE Witness. Thank you!
we are planning to visit more buildings like this after the summer , i'm happy with the indoor photography results with no flash light so far .
They're great, and that antique piece of furniture is gorgeous!! Here's to more charming places!
