another rainy day ...

Yesterday i finally received my polarization filter and matching rings for my leneses.

And just when you think you can test it outside ... indeed it starts to rain .

So luckely we do have a balcony where i sit dry and still make photos of the wet flowers in the balcony planters, to test the softbox , the remote flash trigger and the polarization filter.

The filter i purchased is from Hoya with the matching sq100 kit so that i can use it with most of my lensses . so far i have the 86mm ring for the Sigma 150-500mm lens , 82mm, 62mm for the Laowa 15mm wide angle macro lens and 58mm for the Sigma 105mm macro lens, the 77 mm ring is still in the mail for the Sony 24-105mm lens .

The softbox i used today is the godox 60*40 cm with my godox V1s flash unit and the Godox Xpro II remote flash triger.

Some of the test photos i made today of the Osteospermum ecklonis on our balcony are :

1 ) I'm very happy with the softer light from the Softbox , nice diffused light on the waterdrops .

5 ) On the pink petals the light seem to reflect a little more then i was expecting

6 ) Turning the polarization filter did help to reduce those reflections.
