a Monochrome impression of our visit to "Kasteel Groeneveld "

Last Friday we went to visit Kasteel Groeneveld , a building dating back to the 1710 here in Holland.

You can find more detailed info on their website : https://www.staatsbosbeheer.nl/kasteel-groeneveld

It has a lovely park for a walk , if the weather allows it .

We had rain coming and going that day so the light conditions were not the best for photography.

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge

A small impression of out visit to Kasteel Groeneveld in the Netherlands.

Today you can actually rent these rooms for meetings / weddings and presentations.

rooms had plenty of old furniture from the past , but hard to make decent pictures , to many people getting in the way.

I;ve got a little mini-pom. She can be a yapper sometimes. It does get annoying.

Looking forward to the art.

To be honest, I don’t know which photograph to choose as my favourite; they all form a harmonious whole, and besides, I absolutely love castles. From the chandelier, the staircase and the sculptures, but above all the art exhibition, and even more so the views from the back of the castle, left me in awe. That elderly couple, that photograph is so tender and beautiful; I absolutely loved it, and the way the lake is captured creates scenes straight out of a bygone era.

A beautiful black-and-white composition that transports us to another era. I’m so glad you were able to visit that place and share it with us. Thank you very much and a big hug!🤗

It looks so majestic..

I don't know why after looking at the pictures, the first though that came to mind was that such a big house would be a daunting task to clean 😭😂
