Mexican Murals - Native Colors in La Paz [Street Art Contest #308]

It's been a while, but I am back to the weekly Street Art Contest which is up to number 308. Wow! I remember when it just started out, some ... loooong time ago.

Having returned from my trip on the Baja California, I must say, it can be overwhelming sometimes. After going through endless dusty desert landscapes, all of a sudden you find yourself in a town with so many murals, you don't even know where to look at! With that much saturation, an image has to stick out a bit to actually be noticed. This one certainly did:

This wall painting immediately captures your attention. It shows the sun and the moon, the painted hills, a priestess in a star cloak, growing maize of various colors and lots of indigenous imagery. It was created by COCO GUERRERO. Go ahead and check out her site, her art is very sweet looking, not only on walls. This particular mural can be found in the town of La Paz on the southern Baja, though honestly, I can't remember the exact corner.

To see more murals from Mexico, take a look at my Mexican Murals collection.

A very beautiful mural, especially with that masked figure on the left. I really like the style.. Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.

Have a great day... Have you fully recovered from your cycling trip?
