Meet Miss Meowtess (SMASh Contest)

Hello guys, I would like you all to meet the owner of the house - the poetess. Yes, she is the unbothered poetess. Basically, in my life, I have seen two stray cats becoming the owners of the houses. One lives in my hometown; this one is my workplace related. The hometown is another day story. Let us focus on this poetess.

Only thing that matters to her is food, and remember chicken pieces only. Sorry to all the vegetarians, she does not care about anyone else's opinion. Cat food? Money wasted, it still hurts me for that one time. The shop owner did not pay me back 😭.

At first, it may seem like she is posing for a click. But nah! She is just ignorning me. She treats me like a usual illiterate paparazzi. Still, being a paparazzi, I tried my best to get her attention. I did whistle and make all those sounds "psst" "kicch" and name any you like to. But all in vain!

So by far, you have realized why I named her: the poetess. She is rebellious; she is what she thinks she is. She is not just a poetess, rather the rich filthy elite. She eats when she feels like it. She treats us however she likes. She sleeps wherever she likes. You the human, better know your worth and position.

And then there is her favorite place: the shadows.

Not because she is mysterious. That would give her far too much credit. She sinply believes that if humans invented shade, it was for her. We are just lucky enough to share the facility.

To make it philosophical: Look closely, she does not chase the sunlight; she lets the shadows come to her, as if they are her devotees. She gets all the comfort of the shade, while still being close enough to the light.

We, humans, spend our lives chasing the spotlight. She, on the other hand, has mastered the art of letting the spotlight chase her.

Her poem starts with, "Live in the Shadows, Demand the Chicken".

In the end, if you have read this piece. Mama's boy has grown up well.

And he is a naive one, still afraid of us humans. But, few more months, he will be the Prince of the house.
