Lake Dunmore - Reflections Hunters #136

Half and half

This is my entry for Reflection Hunters Round #136 #reflections hosted by the wonderful Shadow Hunters community and @olgavita. Its been a few rounds since I entered but I'm always looking for a good reflection 🙂 Lake Dunmore is on the edge of the Green Mountains in Addison County Vermont. This view is looking across the lake at Mount Moosalamoo.

Sunny with clouds

This view has nice clouds and reflections. I was hoping for some fall colors but they have been slow coming this year. The ridge line is the foothills of the Green Mountains.

Clear day

Here's a look at the lake on a bright blue sky day. You can see the trees are beginning to change but are just taking their own sweet time. It was down to 37F this morning so it should be hitting peak color. Vermont has basically 3 north - south routes. Highway 7 runs on the eastern edge of the mountains. Highway 100 runs up the middle of the state between the mountains and Interstate 91 runs up the east side of the state along the Connecticut river valley. Often the best fall views are along highway 100 between the mountains.

I'm still out driving the country roads listening to NPR and looking for some color.

Beautiful. There are worst past times. Can't beat a good lake reflection!
