Spring flowers

Coneflower

Some photos of spring flowers around my house.

Coneflower 2

The first two photos are coneflowers. One of my favorites a lovely perennial that thrives in Vermont.

Daisy with dew

We have planted lots of daisies but these Oxeye Daisies are wildflowers and the first daisies to bloom in my yard.

Shining daisy

Bright sunlight made this daisy glow in the light.

Bloom after rain

We have some small bushes that bloom in several of our beds. They are cinquefoil bushes.

New bloom

Their white blooms are nice but they aren't really thriving. Always look kind of shabby.

Dog Vomit slime mold

Here's something that thrives in old, decaying wood mulch. Dog Vomit slime mold. Disgusting but I guess another necessary part of nature 🙂

Ah lovely dog vomit slime mold lol. I read somewhere it has anticancer properties in it though, I just wonder how to extract it into a useable tincture?

I knew you would appreciate the dog vomit 😆 I avoid it. Fortunately it usually goes away pretty quickly. I don't want to try and figure out how to use it haha

I can't believe you have daisies up there already! Still waiting to see ours here in Western Mass...

They are just the Oxeye daisy which is a smaller wildflower. None of my Shasta Daisy are blooming yet.
