Snowy New England Sunday

Cattail

The snow is still hanging around here in Vermont.

Snowy shore

It snowed on Wednesday and I thought it would melt that afternoon.

Ice on lake

But instead it got cold and stayed cold. Ice is even starting to form on the lake.

Barn

Grey days like today will not melt the snow anytime soon.

Grey Day

This old farm house looks very New England.

Gate

Such a neat and well kept old farm, they even have a nice gate in the rock wall.

Fence

The fields still have almost all the snow from Wednesday's storm.

Rockwalls

Rockwalls defining the fields are picturesque in the snow.

Gate in rockwall

Another shot of the old farm house to end my post. Have a lovely Sunday 🙂

Beautiful. Another world. We just don't get snow where I am. Today is howling wind and rain.

A different kind of beauty. Nature has many different looks to offer 🙂

It is supposed to warm up some this week. I'm guessing the little snow that we have on the ground here will be melting soon. Lovely photos! I especially love the cat tail that is beginning to go to seed.

Thanks 🙂 We are still stuck in the 30s for the first part of the week. Then some 40s by the weekend.

40s here midweek... Just in time for Jeff to cook our turkey on the grill! I miss having the smell of roast turkey filling the house, but it certainly makes clean up easier and frees the oven for all the other food!

There's just something about an old Stone Wall, on a cold wintery day, in New England that demands photos!

I am not ready, btw, for winter. I'd like a few more warm sunny days before settling down for the coming cold.

I agree. I thought this first snow would quickly melt away but it has been persistent. Time for a little warmer weather 🤞

Hope this is not terribly inconvenient. I hate to dry in the snow.

Its not deep enough to be a problem and they do a pretty good job of clearing the roads here...because it snows so much lol

I love snow so much! It is great to see your images. I am not sure if we will get it this year. They keep saying it will happen now, but the temperature is still too high for anything magical to happen.
