Snowshoe Drive
We got a good bit of snow overnight so we decided to go out snowshoeing. This is a path through a couple of our neighbors fields.
Unofficially Snowshoe Drive 😂
This was a gift to one of our neighbors from a family member. He has an big, old pair of woodframe snoeshoes with leather straps.
We are not as hardcore. Here we are in our rental Tubbs snowshoes from the local library
It was still snowing when we went out this afternoon.
I think the snow will stop later this evening.
There was about 8 inches of snow this morning when I cleared the driveway. I think we are over 12 inches now. Really light fluffy snow. Great for snowblowing. Not as great for snowshoeing. It was so light and dry that it really didn't pack under shoes. But its always fun to get out in the woods! The silence is wonderful.
We just got the cold from this last storm, but not any of the snow. You are getting buried!
We were supposed to only get the cold... which we did 🥶 but then the snow pushed up from the south further than they expected and we got the snow too.
Perfect for snowshoeing, this beautiful layer of fresh snow.

Yes its always fun getting out in the woods on snowshoes. We needed a change. Getting tired of bundling up in winter clothes. Cold again this morning.

We got about 18” I think. It’s so drifted it’s hard to tell. But it’s nearly to my knees, well over the tops of my tall Sorels.
I just finished clearing the drive. I think we got about 12" total. We will probably go out snowshoeing again this afternoon.

I'm sure you could lose a lot of money trying to make a go of a rental snowshoe business in Missouri haha
