Random shots of Vermont winter

Color

Its been a cold run in Vermont. We haven't made it to 40F yet this month.

Sunrise

There isn't alot of snow on the ground but it is hanging around. It is supposed to warm up Thursday and Friday with maybe some rain so I thought I would take a few snow pictures before its gone.

Napping owl

This guy was hanging around yesterday. Napping in a tree in our backyard. I think he was literally leaning his head against the tree trunk nodding off lol

Overcast

The lake is always pretty with a coating of snow and a little snow on the Green Mountains on the opposite shore.

Piling up

Rock man is under several inches of snow. Some of you that follow me know how he looks without the snow.

New England

This strikes me as a stereotypical New England winter scene. Hope you enjoyed a little bit of early winter vibes. Have a great day 🙂

I'm jealous of your owls, but not all that snow. Maybe its time to be a snowbird and head to Arizona for some lizard catching.

Maybe. Its 29F here and we are feeling like its a heat wave 🤦 there must be a name for this - some hing like Stockholm Syndrome and winter is the captor.

Yeah its terrible, you think ah maybe this year will be tolerable but then by end of February its the subzeros. The wind chill here is the worst part of it where you get strange google alerts of its 10f but it feels like -15f.

Yes, winter is definitely here... these landscapes are still so beautiful. Don't you have a small cushion you could lend your visitor so they can rest their head on it instead of the tree trunk? 😀

Thanks. We love owls. We were talking that we need to put up owl boxes 🙂

Does that exist? Cool, especially if it has "mouse wallpaper" in it 😀

Owl boxes are a thing but the wall paper is all of their hero from Harry Potter - Hedwig the snowy owl

Love the scenery! Although I would hide under my blanket instead of go out and see everything with my own eyes if we had snow on this part of the globe. brrr!
