Randolph, Vermont
Bethany Church in Randolph, Vermont. Seems all New England towns have an old, usually white, woodframe church like this built in 1845. Here's a history link
It was a rainy overcast day as is evident in the sky in all the pictures. We had lunch in a great Thai restaurant Saap restaurant link that is in the Kimball House built in 1887 Kimball House history
The town public library was funded by the Kimball family and built in 1902 Kimball Library wiki
Although the rain was persistent all day, I do kind of like the angry looking sky in the photos.
Randolph also has a nice Cultural Center built in 1907 and extensively renovated in 1972. Chandler Center for the Arts History
Great story about the building of the Arts Center. There were two churches across Main Street from each other. Chandler talked them into combining into one church then tore down the other church, built the Arts Center and donated it to the remaining church.
We also like to hit local galleries when out day tripping. This one also had an excellent art supply store in the back. Had to drag my wife out of this place. She could have spent all afternoon there.
Amtrak restored service to Randolph in 1996. Original train service started by the Vermont Central Railroad in 1848 and ran until 1966. History of Randolph station
The old depot now houses a really nice store/deli.
Interesting in the current political turmoil 🙄 but this is something entirely different. Support local businesses and agriculture. The locavore definition here and farm-to-table movement.
Here's my ride for exploring Vermont at a stop in Rochester, Vermont on the way home.

I love it. You posted some amazing shots here, really American 😀
Quite American. Very New England. Even in America in places that are different like the West or South, Americans associate this look with being very American haha
So I was not wrong then 😆 This is what we see in old movies.
