Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller Mansion
The Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller Mansion is near Woodstock, Vermont.
The Mansion site include a working farm and forest make up the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historic Park.

The mansion is only open in the summer so we walked around the outside and of course took pictures.
The mansion was built in 1885 and is a huge old pile of bricks 😆
The original owner was George Perkins Marsh who wrote "Man and Nature" which is considered the inspiration for the modern conservation movement. More info on Marsh from National Park Service.
Frederick Billings was the second owner and also an important conservationist National Park Service bio for Billings
Finally Laurence Rockefeller (the fourth son of John D. Rockefeller) married the granddaughter of Billings and they made the mansion their home. Laurence Rockefeller used his inherited wealth to become one of the foremost conservationists and philanthropists of the 20th century Laurence Rockefellerbio from NPS.gov
