Jewelweed macrophotos

Orange Jewelweed is a wildflower that is all over the swampy area along the edge of my yard.

Spotted touch-me-not (Impatiens capensis) is the proper name.

The flowers on jewelweed are beautiful but I was really having difficulty getting good captures. So I slowed down and took some time. I am very happy with the results.

These are all macro shots but in this one you can see all the orange flowers in the background. There are so many plants and blooms out there right now.

Often there are two or more blooms in clusters on the stems.

Here are three but its hard to keep groups like this in focus.

Several of my favorite shots have dew drops like this one.

As a kid I was first introduced to this plant by the seed pods. It was only later that I discovered the beauty of the flowers. They are like orchid blossoms.
They look very much like orchids but are so small its hard to see them easy to not appreciate them.
Your photos are much better than anything I have attempted!
Beautiful flower... thanks to you I'm becoming less ignorant about them 😀
Have a great Friday !PIZZA
