Happy 9th Hive Birthday to Me!

Last week a short trip to my home state provided a different landscape for my photography.

I was born in Kansas and spent most of my childhood there with a little time spent in Oklahoma and Texas along the way.

I went off to Missouri for college then moved on to Louisiana, Minnesota, California, then finally Vermont.

But my birthday isn't until next month.

Today is my 9th Birthday on Hive 🎉

I've come and gone and then returned a few times. Same with most of us but some of my friends here have always been here when I returned. Its a lovely community.

Part of my time in Kansas this trip was going through old photos. This is my Grandpa. We speculate around 18 years old but he didn't graduate high school so its not a senior photo 😉 He missed too much school working on the farm during busy seasons and eventually just didn't go back.

This photo is of my greatgrandparents. Love the Wyatt Earp mustache on greatgrandpa 😆 My grandma is the little girl. She was born in 1905 so this picture was probably taken around 1910.
