I feel as if I've woken up from a deep slumber, dusting off the cobwebs from my keyboard and letting my fingers find their familiar rhythm once more. The world of words, stories, and dreams I once lived and breathed had turned into the despair of missing a bus and watching it drive away. But like the comforting embrace of an old friend, the urge to write beckoned me again. It's been a long time, and life, with its myriad experiences, has pushed me into my forthcoming years, but the essence of my writer's soul remains unchanged. I've missed this sacred space, and I'm not only referring to Hive as a location, but the space and communication I've established with you all through my words. As I venture back into the realm of writing, I invite you to join me on this renewed journey, to rediscover, together, the stories that lie waiting to be told. It's good to be back.

Today, I will take you to White Sands National Park, located in the southwest of America, in New Mexico, which hosts the world's largest gypsum dune field. This unique natural wonder is famous for its white gypsum sands, stunning sunset views, and rich ecosystem.

Parktaki geniş ve sonsuz gibi görünen beyaz kum tepeleri ile çevrelendiğinizde, hayatınızın ve hatta yaşamızın ufaklığının bir kere daha farkına varırken kumlar üzerinde arkanızda bıraktığınız adımlar ne kadar ufak olsanız da dünyada bir şeyleri değiştirdiğinizin göstergesi. Surrounded by vast, seemingly endless white sand dunes in the park, you become acutely aware of the minuteness of your own life and, indeed, our existence. Yet the footprints you leave behind on the sand signify that no matter how small, you've made a change in the world. Under the sun, these bright white sands resemble a blanket of snow. But don't be deceived by this appearance, as the sand typically isn't very cold. Walking on these dunes feels almost like wandering on another planet. It wouldn't be a stretch to say it felt like a brief journey to the moon.

This park also hosts a variety of animal and plant species. While we didn't see many animals as we explored, there were several signs providing ample information about the types of animals in the park. Despite the park not being very crowded, we faced some issues at the entrance and exit. In fact, dear readers, I was almost not allowed in because I didn't have my documents with me.

I had heard that White Sands was a paradise for photographers, but when we went there, even the most carelessly taken photograph turned out beautiful, making me understand the reason better. Especially in the early hours of the morning and at sunset, the shadows on the dunes and the play of colors offer unique opportunities to take magnificent photos. Ah, even while writing these lines, I wanted to go back. Anyway, I'm wrapping up the article and coming to the end of this story with the tips I'll provide.

On the way to White Sands, we came across an abandoned gas station. This gas station, which silently told us of the many stories it witnessed, gave me the idea to photograph such locations. However, when I found similar accounts on social media, I quickly lost interest in that idea.
