Yesterday was a special day. I decided to take a stroll through the Latin food fair, and as soon as I arrived, I was enveloped by the delicious aroma of so many cuisines gathered in one place. There was music, smiling people, and colorful stalls.
The first thing I tried was a Venezuelan cachapa. It was sweet and fluffy, with soft corn that melted in my mouth. The melted cheese provided the perfect salty contrast; it was like a warm hug in the form of food.
Next, I tried an Argentine sandwich. The juicy meat was a must, and it had been seasoned with chimichurri, which really gave it the finishing touch. Every bite made me think of barbecues and long conversations outdoors.
To finish, I stopped at the Ecuadorian food stall. There I tried a dish with more intense flavors, spices, and side dishes that made me feel like I was on a different journey. It was like discovering a new corner of Latin America in a single bite.
Yesterday I left the fair with a happy stomach and a smile. More than just eating, it was like touring different countries in a few hours. I'm already thinking about going back, because I know there are still many flavors to discover.
