Urban forest, a nice idea

Wandering around Romagna I came across an example of an urban forest.
What is an urban forest?
First of all, let's define what a forest is. A forest is a primary asset of public interest. An urban forest is a green area inserted within an urban context.
These photos were taken in a small town in Romagna which is about 10 km from Cesenatico. Exactly behind the houses in the center an area has been designated as an urban forest. The project is very new, in fact the plants have just been positioned and it will still take years for them to grow, but the first step has been taken.
An urban forest serves for:
-Safeguarding environmental quality
-Create well-being for the citizens of the country
-Build a meeting point for people
-Improve the microclimate
-Possible collection or control of rainwater
-Improvement of air quality
An urban forest can also create habitats for the survival and reproduction of flora and fauna that would otherwise struggle to survive in the city.
Conclusions
The urban forest is a green area located within a city which aims to provide citizens with a recreational space in contact with nature. In the photos you see one of these city areas destined to become forest in several years

Girovagando per la Romagna mi sono imbattuto in un esempio di bosco urbano.
Cos'è un bosco urbano?
Prima di tutto definiamo cosa è un bosco. Un bosco è un bene primario di interesse pubblico. Un bosco urbano è un'area verde inserita all’interno di un contesto urbano.
Queste foto sono state scattate in un piccolo paese della Romagna che dista circa 10 km da Cesenatico. Esattamente dietro alle case del centro è stata destinata un'area a bosco urbano. Il progetto è nuovissimo, infatti le piante sono appena state posizionate e ci vorranno ancora degli anni prima che crescano, ma il primo passo è stato fatto.
Un bosco urbano serve per:
-La salvaguardia della qualità ambientale
-Creare benessere per i cittadini del paese
-Costruire un punto di aggregazione per le persone
-Migliorare il microclima
-Eventuale raccolta o controllo delle acque piovane
-Miglioramento della qualità dell’aria
Un bosco urbano puó creare anche habitat per la sopravvivenza e la riproduzione di flora e fauna che altrimenti difficilmente sopravviverebbero in città.
Conclusioni
Il bosco urbano è un'area verde situata all'interno di una città che ha lo scopo di fornire alla cittadinanza uno spazio ricreativo a contatto con la natura. Nelle foto vedete una di queste aree cittadine destinate a diventare bosco tra diversi anni

That seems like a very nice project. I haven't been to an urban forest, but the idea is nice. I have seen a lot of nature being destroyed to be replaced by buildings and cities, so this is a nice change. I hope they used different types of trees for variety.
You understood perfectly, this is an attempt to recreate destroyed nature... in that area 100 years ago there was actually a forest
Cool. It would have been nice if they also used different aged trees as well. I have read somewhere that different heights of trees mimic actual forests better. They provide different heights and vantage points for animals, and they let more sunlight through to the ground.
Now that you've written this you've reminded me of something else. Now the plants are all small, but when I read the labels I noticed that they are of various kinds, perhaps for the very reason you say. Thanks for this comment

Thanks for the comment. The idea is to bring nature back to the city. This idea will not be visible immediately because the plants will have to grow, but some results will be seen in 5/10 years

100 years ago this area was all forest, there were no houses. Now, however, they are all houses and concrete streets. The idea is to give back the stolen space to nature. It will take years to see these plants grow, but they will grow and this town will have its own forest in the center of town

Bravo arc7!!! Hai capito perfettamente. Una volta qui, più di 100 anni fa, era tutto bosco. L’idea è quella di riportare un pezzo di quel bosco in vita. Ci vorrà un po’ di tempo, ma questo paese riavrà tra qualche anno il suo antico bosco, proprio nel cuore del paese. Un ottimo esempio!
Sono d'accordissimo! E sicuramente ne gioverà la qualità dell'aria e la temperatura, che sarà più mite d'estate, oltre alla natura in generale che riavrà un pezzettino dello spazio che le abbiamo tolto in cui poter tornare, almeno un po', a proliferare!

Grazie per essere passato di qua. Questa è una nuova idea urbana. L’intento è quello di ricreare un pezzo di bosco che fu distrutto 100 anni fa. Questa area diventerà un bosco urbano e si trova proprio nel cuore di un paese della Romagna, il bosco confina su due lati con il centro del paese. ci vorranno anni prima che crescano tutti gli alberi piantati, ma varrà la pena aspettare.
Mi piace tantissimo, soprattutto quando dici che è un'area verde situata in città, l'ultima zona che ho visitato è stata la fattoria di un mio amico, ma NON si qualifica secondo quello che dici, comunque ha una vasta area di terreno
Confermo che probabilmente è un progetto diverso da quello del tuo amico. Si tratta di far nascere un vero e proprio bosco nei pressi del centro della città. Ci vorranno anni, ma l'idea per ora sembra buona
