Verucchio is an Italian municipality in the province of Rimini. It has about 10,000 inhabitants and is 300 m above sea level. It is therefore located on a hill in the Marecchia valley. Some recent findings show that the first settlements in this town took place a long time ago, thought to be around the 10th century BC. During World War II, Verucchio was occupied by Nazi-Fascist forces. Over time, Verucchio has managed to keep its charm intact.

Verucchio è un comune italiano in provincia di Rimini. Ha circa 10.000 abitanti ed è a 300 m sul livello del mare. Si trova quindi in collina e sorge nella vallata del Marecchia. Alcuni ritrovamenti fatti di recente mostrano che i primi insediamenti abitativi in questo paese sono avvenuti molto tempo fa, si pensa intorno al X secolo a.C. Questo paese durante la Seconda guerra mondiale Verucchio fu occupata dalle forze nazi-fasciste. Verucchio nel tempo ha saputo mantenere intatto il proprio fascino.

thanks for leaving a comment. I confirm that Rimini and its hills were lands of an ancient family called the Malatestas. These where built very beautiful works during the 1200s and 1500s

L'orologio segna le 4 e 10, un buon momento per fare le foto, che tra l'altro sono bellissime, è un posto che risale a molto tempo fa, ma come dici tu, è ben conservato.

Confermo che questo posto era abitato anche prima di Cristo. Da qui si potevano controllare le rotte marittime

Sempre suggestivi, questi paeselli di montagna. Mi ricorda Alice Bel Colle (però in Piemonte), dove avevo trascorso una delle più belle vacanze con mio marito, nei due anni che era rimasto in Italia.

Non so molto sulle chiese di Verucchio… ne ricordo bene una che è quella che ho segnalato su questo post. Magari in primavera ci torno che mi faccio un aggiornamento turistico
