Rose Of Sharon

We used to have three Rose of Sharon bushes in our yard. About a month ago, I removed the smallest one of them. What a pain in the ass that was. The two that are left are getting pretty massive. I trimmed one back in the Spring, but I didn't anticipate how fast it would grow this summer. So, I'll have to trim it again once the leaves fall off of it. The pictures below show you how big it is.

I'm not sure why it's called a Rose of Sharon as the flowers don't look anything like roses. They are beautiful, though.

     But my favorite thing about them is that they attract lots of bees and hummingbirds.

that flower look like a flower that we call gumamela here in our country..it has deferent colors..

Lovely! The flowers on my plants can be white or pink or anywhere in between. This year they came in white.
