Two sides of the same coin - Me and my shadows.

Today, one of my friend called up to invite me to take a visit at the annual flower show in Delhi. He was completely unaware, the fact that I was not in Delhi. The flower show is an yearly event, that displays variety of flower species. This years I heard a lot about it as it has been organized in much larger scale. Last time I attended the flower show was quite memorable. The sudden call let me to dive into the old pictures that left a fine imprint in my memory. This one particularly as the upside down colorful Umbrellas and its shadows made a stunning appearance right at the entrance of the flower show in 2024.

The best part that I like most of this image are the shadows of the umbrellas that were forming on the ground. It pulled back all the old memory of me snapping my own shadows on the road or on the street. As I looked back more deeper I find a number of self styled shadow of me at different location at different point of time.

There are many people like me that enjoy capturing their own shadows for a variety of artistic, psychological, and personal reasons. For me it helps.me to reflect on my physical appearance. Sometime it think that a shadows reflect a better picture of ours than a selfie. The fascination with the shadow lies in its promise of turning hidden, "ugly" parts into personal strength, wisdom, and a more vibrant life.
