Remembering the unifier of Punjab and the protector of the Khalsa Raj.

Every trip is unique and something special always made it memorable. In our last trip to Amritsar, we were amazed by the popularity of Maharaj Ranjit Singh square. Every individual on the street were fully aware of its existence. It was kind of a landmark to the place. On asking direction for Golden temple, everyone direct us towards Ranjit Singh Square. We were quite surprised until we figured out the Statue that mark the place have given the place a real identity.

We were on the spot on multiple occasion. In-fact it becomes our meeting point if we get strayed in the crowded street. We crossed the spot during early hours , also during the day time and even in evening. The Statue has its speciality that makes it a photographic point for many tourist. And I did not want to miss on the opportunity. After avoiding it i finally got myself clicked in front of it.

The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Statue in Amritsar is popular because it honors the legendary "Lion of Punjab," who united the Sikh misls and founded the powerful Sikh Empire. Located on the pedestrianized path toward the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh, it serves as a major cultural landmark.

The statue is situated right at the main city corners. Enhanced by vibrant public lighting that shifts colors at night in the pedestrianized commercial core. The path one side of it will.lead us to the commercial hub in the vicinity. The surrounding pedestrianized approach is lined with local markets and shops, making it a common gathering and entry point for tourists walking toward Jallianwala Bagh and the Golden Temple.

The statue features detailed bronze or metallic horse.riding craftsmanship that draws history lovers and photographers. Here are some of the additional pictures I gathered during my trip.

The starue , celebrates Maharaja Ranjit Singh, who famously helped rebuild and adorn the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) with gold. The statue is crafted using white marble and durable lime plaster finishes making it look quite attractive. The tall statue of the "Lion of Punjab" on horseback looks bold and watchful against the sky. Quite a memorable iconic place to be at any moment of time.
