Making the most of the vibrant festival. #Holicelebration

Today India celebrates Holi, the festival of color. This is an annual festival that makes people happy. Once you will out on this days, you may end up watching many happy faces. And each one of them is unrecognizable because every faces is colored with different colors. The day begins on a happy note and saw the kids start playing with water color pretty early in the day. As I went out, saw group of kids playing with water, leaving my water tank empty. I quickly filled it to avoid any water scarcity during the day and never let kids to spoil their fun.

On the day of Holi, people play with dry colors and also with wet colour's. Kids were very particular in playing with water colors. They dissolve different color in a tub and splash on each other. They like getting wet with colors. They make use of water balloon, spray paint , water gun etc to splash water. In the process, there may be some losses as well, as kids always run away from getting drenched. My courtyard has been a favorite playground and kids just does not want to go away.

I strictly told them not to put water colors on me. So they were busy in playing among themselves. And I was occupied with snapping their happy faces.

As the day progresses, I was not left behind from being colored. I made sure to avoid the water colors and get all the dry colors. My sister in law were very particular in coloring me. She made sure to put colors inside my cloth too. By afternoon, I look3d quite differently. Watching the others playing on the street.

The street Holi in villages is quite risky one as people may make use of all sort of things that include, cowdung to mudwater. They dont want to spare anyone. They get aggressive too and ever tore each other cloth to enjoy the festival of colors. Holi, which is celebrated in early month of March, is the time for social harmony, joy and new beginning. It celebrates the end of the cold winter and welcomes the vibrant spring season often acting as a thanks giving and good harvest
In good faith - Peace!!

I just saw a post on the same topic, and you have no idea how happy it makes me. But here I see the process, how it is celebrated, with both dry and wet paint, and not only that, I see the joy and happiness of the children, and that is the greatest thing of all. Their happy faces cheer anyone's soul when they see them.
What is unfortunate is what happens in the villages; they really don't spare anyone. And you didn't want to be painted, and look how you ended up, even though your face doesn't match the colour... more joy! Colour is life! I loved learning more about this wonderful festival. Thank you very much, big hugs to you!🤗

I always love all the bright colors that the Indian culture seems to embrace. I'm usually more of a earth tones sort of person, but posts like these make me smile.
