Just monkeying around! π
When you visit any indian hill station, then beware of the Red faced Monkeys. Every hill station in India has abundant of them creating ruckus sometime. In my recent trip to Jammu it was not different. There were lot of monkeys on top the hill and to prevent any harm, each of the household carries a stick to scare them away. One such monkey arrived at our doorstep and started making noise as they were looking for food.

It was a peculiar sound that alerted me, when I came out only to find an old one staring at our gate and making some unusual gesture. For safety reasons each of the houses has iron rod protection to prevent them entering the houses. I try to click them, which makes them bit aggressive. But soon when I start feeding them with bread they shows some interest and began getting quite. I have learned over the years that, Monkeys are highly intelligent and opportunistic eaters. They have learned that humans in tourist hotspots carry food. They often steal food from shops, trash cans, and directly from tourists.

Getting friendlier with Monkeys is risky affair as they chzmge their mood and attack anytime. I remember, there was a monkey menace in our apartment and they had bitten many kids. But in hill stations, Monkeys in these areas have become accustomed to human presence, making them bold and sometimes aggressive in their search for food. This old one left after eating few of the bread slices. It was a welcome meeting with the red faced.
In good faith - Peace!!
