Camera recommendation for amateur photographer.
A digital camera always holds an upper hand over and i-phone. People often prefer to own an i-phone for a better picture quality, but it has certain limitation when it comes to pixels or battery life. Whereas a professional camera always suffice all the requirement. After the glitch with my Cannon powershot device, I am planning to buy a new digital camera.

There are multiple option available in the market. Nikkon to Cannon to Sony are some of the well reputed brand name exits in the market. These are the best selling digital device available in market. But the prices of these are always on the upper hand. Each one of them is good and comes with additional features. But I wanted a budget friendlier camera that may help a begginer to establish in the photogeaphy world. I am not a professional photographer, but looking at the #photography community, I wanted to be in the race. My mobile camera can never be in the frame to capture good picture. It can take decent picture upto certain limitation.

My old #cannon Camera was very decent and helped to click some good picture. But it was not in regular use. After 12 years with me, it broke and there is no repair shop available to fix it. So I left with no option except to own a new device. When I searched over the internet, the prices were too high. Then I opted to look for second hand devices available on the internet, but again you cannot rely 100% on their functioning.

I wondered , if this is the best time to take #community opinion. There are many good photographer on #hive and each of them carry a good device to click their picture. If they can assist or guide me for a decent device to make photography easier for me. I am looking for a mid range camera device for a beginner / amateur photographer. Which device will you recommend? Or shall i opt for a second hand ?
Your valuable input will be highly appreciated.
In good faith - Peace!!

Neither am I a hardcore photographer. But I do agree, a proper point to shoot camera is still way above a phone camera. The depth, the lens, the exposure, even with smaller megapixels on the P2S, the lens extension would make a huge difference then a flat and thin phone.
At this point of time, I don't think any of those reputable manufacturers produce P2S cameras. The only way you can obtain one is to get a used camera. Please bear in mind there may be some underlying issues like AF mechanism issues, sensor issues, battery issues. Whilst, international shipping for a new battery can be expensive.
I used to have a Nikon Coolpix L21 running on AA batteries. Too bad I broke the battery cover and it wouldn't secure the battery in place, and everytime when I letch the battery door, I need to reset date and time.
Alternatively, Chinese brand is quite promising nowadays. Why not get a decent 4k camera and start playing, it will still be like ⅓ of a used Canon P2S camera. If you must buy a branded P2S, I suggest you can get those refurbished units from Japan, but do check on battery options. Certain model battery pack cost more than the camera itself nowadays.

I must say that phone camera's nowadays really deliver quite good photographs nowadays. I make a lot of my photos with my smartphone too. I always say it's not the camera, but the photographer that makes the photo.
When I bring my 'real' camera I do pay more attention to make a nice shot. Where I use my smartphone to capture opportunities, I take my 'real' camera when I go out to shoot photos.
Also 'real' camera's do give you more options and, especially when you are able to switch lenses, you have way more possibilities. But it's the question whether you would like that, because it also can be a hussle for instance changing lenses and bringing them along.
But if you really want to make a next step and don't want to go for an expensive DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex) camera, a mirrorless camera might be an option.
I've been using my (midrange) Canon M50 for a couple of years now and am very happy with it. I have bought a second lens which I use for zooming and macro shots (in combination with extension rings).
The pricing is in between DSLR's and your powershot, but it gives you way more possibilities. The camera and eventually 1 or 2 extra lenses do require a small camera bag (not a backpack like you need with a DSLR).
I hope this info helps you a bit.

since it looks like a plastic part you might be able to let someone print a new version for you on a 3d printer .
They aren't cheap, but you should check out the Sony X100 line. Those are pretty sweet!
