An Excuse To Enjoy Life - A glance at village fair.
The mere mention of fair, take us all to the amazing world of swings, toys, magic shows and delicious street food. Fair hold a special place in everyone life and I belive everybody visited some sort of fair in their life to make some memorable moments or stories to talk about to their children or grand children. But the craze of fair is almost dying in urban cities, as fair theme has been getting replaced it with wonderland or amusement park. Where people enjoy life by paying heavenly on their luxurious lifestyle. Such places are just made to make hole in your pocket.
Contrast to the urban lifestyle, rural people are still finding excuses to organize fair and make their life happy. Earlier it used to be during Diwali or Dushera festival, but now any big ocassion in Villages is incomplete without a fair set up.
We have one such occassion in our village, where the ongoing fair is pulling lot of crowd from nearby Villages as well. Village people be it kid or adult or old keep talking and planning throughout the day to entertain themselves in different ways in fair. The ocassion this time is newly built temple in our area. The new temple in the village calls for huge procession, which followed by preaching, Havana, and lot of prayers and rituals.
We are already on the 5th day of the prayers and loud music and hymens can be heard sitting at home. Today I went for a walk to see how the things are u folding at the main worshipping centre. Apart from the prayers area, I found a fair adjacent to it. It was set up for the villagers to enjoy their ice and take out the time to entertain themselves through different means.
The first thing that attracts any villagers are the sweets and snacks counter.
The cook was busy in making the sweets, while one lerson is making all arrangement at the counter to sell them. There were lot of varieties of these sweets item. There were other snacks items too whi h people love to munch. The counter is all set to welcome many people.
The other major attraction are the kids toy counter and rides. I am pretty pleased with the way these fairs were set up. They know that families make the visit along with their kids and that what make the organizers to put special attention for the kids entertainment. A good business sense actually to woo the families and the kids.
Setting up kids rides and toys are th3 special attraction too.
Though the quality of the products are not as expected or as per the market standard selling costly stiffs. These products are enough to make kids and family happy. But the main catch is that these products are selling at a higher prices than the normal rate. A good business sense, however a good bargaining ability will get you good deals with any of the products.
Forget to mention and bringing you all to reality, these are not high paying set up. These villagers open up their counter by setting up the stalls on the ground. The eating point may have the cart wheels. But the ground stalls are set up at free of cost. Their main motto is to to sell and make good profits.
I am impressed to see a local tattoo artist doing his job on a girl's hand. What could be an expensive deal in urban tattoo artist, these tattoo were made with machine at a very nominal cost. Looking at the way the guy was making, it seems he has good year of experince.
Lastly ,but not the least, the best way to identify a village fair are the lightening part. They make sure to have a variety of leds spread all over the area, to make the place glow. A bright spot can easy locate by anybody.
Overall in my short roundabout to the fair area, I find that the village people were more excited about these occassion. Actually they do not have any other option for entertainment. So whatever they can see, they enjoy on the. Trully a good way to entertain everybody.
Hope you enjoy the little #saturday walkthrough to the village fair that really makes people happy through differrnt means that they brings with along.
