Early morning on the beach to see the sunrise - this time with both camera and SD card!
Yet another naff nights kip for me but the upside of waking just after 4 being the opportunity to watch the sunrise. Unlike last time I made sure I had the SD card in the camera! One of the kids decided to sleep downstairs last night as it was cooler, I had to do my best ninja impression to sneak about without waking anyone. Mostly successful other than the dog. She was really excited as she thought I was taking her out but alas her poorly leg wouldn't cope with the distance.
It's about a 20 minute walk to the beach and I managed it without being attacked by any gulls! The evil little sods are still, in some cases, very protective of their young. They can be a proper pain in the arse!
Anyway, a selection of photos from this morning's sunrise here on the east coast of England.
On occasion I tried to slow the shutter speed down to capture the water moving as it (I think), gives a real nice milky effect. Better suited to when you have a tripod but I couldn't be arsed to try find that at 4:30am so had to try some freehand!
No other real description for them as there's little to say about sand, rocks, sea and sky.
All taken with a Canon EOS 6D with and Sigma 24-70mm lens. Either the lens or the sensor is a little grubby so there are some grubby spots in places. Processed in Adobe Lightroom.
Absolutely phenomenal sunrise captures! The colors playing out in the sky and ocean are breathtaking. I can imagine it looked even more beautiful in person.
Keep up the terrific work! @stav

Thank you for looking and taking time to comment. 🙂
Wow, these absolutely stunning pictures!! You're very lucky to live at such a beautiful place.. One day, maybe.. 😊
Thank you 🙂
Hard to pick a favourite but I think it has to be fifth one down.
Well done in getting all the bits you needed and getting out the house without disturbing sleeping youngsters!
I should learn to be a bit more organised really 🙂. Yes, 5 is one of my faves along with 6 and 8.
How gorgeous -- just glorious!
