Trip on Vågsøy - 2/3 Kråkenes Lighthouse [PL/EN]

A continuation of the previous post. On September 24th, during a business trip to the Vestlandet region, my colleagues and I took a short trip to the island of Vågsøy. This island lies in the open Norwegian Sea, which from this point extends all the way to Iceland and Greenland. We visited several places on the island.

Kontynuacja poprzedniego postu. 24 września, podczas wyjazdu służbowego w region Vestlandet, udaliśmy się z moimi współpracownikami na krótką wycieczkę na wyspę Vågsøy. Wyspa ta leży nad otwartym Morzem Norweskim, które z tego miejsca rozciąga się już aż do Islandii i Grennlandii. Odwiedzilliśmy kilka miejsc na wyspie.

On the western tip of the island, there's also a lighthouse – Kråkenes Fyr. The lighthouse is owned by DNT (Den Norske Turistforening), the largest national tourist organization. You can rent an apartment with a sea view there, and on weekends, there's a café. On stormy days, waves crash against the rocks beneath Kråkenes Fyr, and the lighthouse itself, despite being 45 meters above the water, is splashed by crashing sea swells.

Na zachodnim krańcu wyspy położona jest również latarnia morska - Kråkenes Fyr. Latarnia jest własnością DNT - największej, ogólnokrajowej organizacji turystycznej (Den Norske Turistforening). Możliwe jest wynajęcie tam apartamentu z widokiem na morze, a w weekendy działa tam kawiarnia. W sztromowe dni, fale rozbijają się u skał leżących pod Kråkenes Fyr, a sama latarnia morska, mimo tego, że jest położona 45 metrów ponad powierzchnią wody, jest obryzgiwana rozbitymi bałwanami morskimi.
