Sangkran Gathering At Angkor Wat 🛕 Khmer New Year
Hello everyone, how are you? This week is Khmer new year, my two daughters and I go to visit my brother house for three days. After three days, we go to visit my sister house in Siem Reap. On the 13th, I made an appointment with my sister @ahleap in Takhmao to meet at my older sister's house @sreymom in Siem Reap. This year, I want to travel and meet up with a lot of people because my family and I have to go to America on the 1st of June.
In Siem Reap Province, they celebrated the New Year's Songkran festival in traditional Khmer culture.
New Year's programs are held in Siem Reap in various areas, especially in the Angkor Wat area, which is a magnificent and famous place in Cambodia.
This is a traditional Khmer house and there are also people wearing traditional Khmer clothes there.
We all had fun and this is a picture of Khmer martial arts and we also tried to imitate it to take pictures with it.
But I didn't fit in and it wasn't like that. It made me uncomfortable and I wanted to laugh a lot.
This place has a traditional Khmer dance program. I also joined in the dance, but I didn't take any photos, but my daughter took some video and I posted it on Facebook.
This is a traditional Khmer New Year's angel parade, and many celebrities participated.
This year, I was very happy to go visited my siblings on both my father's and mother's sides. Especially since I was out and about during the New Year's Sangkran event in the wonderful land of Angkor. Sorry everyone that I can’t make Hive for a long time. The traditional Khmer house looks interesting with its details made of wood. The huge basket with overflowing fruits is very artistic. It was a great time for you with your sisters while also enjoying the celebration that showcased the Khmer tradition. It was a good time to catch up with them before the planned vacation abroad.
