My stay in Niš left a strong impression on me. As soon as I arrived in the city, I felt its special atmosphere - a mixture of busy life and history that is felt at every step.

First, I visited the Niš Fortress. Its high walls and gates seem powerful, as if they still guard the city. Walking along its paths, I imagined the past times, the merchants, the army and all the events that took place there. The fortress offers a view of the city, and today the space itself lives a new life - walkers, children and artists give it warmth.

The streets of Niš are full of life. At every step I came across cafes, shops and people hurrying somewhere. A special experience was the smell of food - burek, for which Nis is famous, but also kebabs and burgers from the grill. That smell spread through the streets and enticed passers-by to stop and enjoy. I couldn't resist, so I tried Niš burek myself, which was warm, crispy and delicious.

One of the most memorable moments was going to Mount Čegar. From that place you can see the whole region, and the monument there reminds of the famous and tragic battle from the First Serbian Uprising. Watching him, I felt pride, but also sadness for all the victims. It was a place that made me stop and think about the past of our people.

When I returned to the city, Nis seemed even more colorful to me. It was a city that preserves its history and at the same time lives to the fullest. In it, you can feel the spirit of past centuries, but also the warmth of people and the joy of everyday life.
