Buenos Aires is a very beautiful city, very green, with a great variety of outdoor spaces perfect to enjoy at this time of the year when we are saying goodbye to summer and starting the cool autumn days.

Retiro Station

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with three beautiful squares in front of the train station (if we went by train, beautiful experience), the first of the squares is the Plaza Canada with a giant wooden totem super striking, the second is the Plaza Fuerza Aerea Argentina with a garden full of beautiful blue flowers of agapanthus and the Monumental Tower also known as the Torre de los Ingleses because they were who built it, what I liked most about this tower is that it has at the top a viewpoint that allows you to see much of the city and make some very nice pictures; And finally we found the Plaza General San Martin, one of the oldest and with important monuments and sculptures. The tour of these squares is very pleasant, they are very spacious but mostly green spaces.

One of the most touristic places in Baires, as its inhabitants call it, is the Floralis Generica, a majestic metallic sculpture in the shape of a flower whose petals open and close depending on whether it is night or day, this genius is located in the Plaza de las Naciones Unidas on a really large area, with chairs for sunbathing and tables to share a snack. It is a very busy place, tourists come from all over the world, plus being next to the law school there is never a shortage of students taking a walk to get some fresh air.

The next place we visited and my favorite so far, was the Japanese Garden, a magical place that transports you from its entrance to the ancient Japanese culture. The details are very well cared for, every tree, every flower, every little ornament makes you think you are in a far away place. There are souvenir stores, Japanese food restaurants, a place where you can ask them to write your name or a phrase in Japanese, and several times a year they hold courses to teach their language.

It is a very peaceful park, it has an exhibition area where young and old are amazed with the art of origami, of course we spent some time folding sheets of paper trying to make something recognizable, in the end we did it, we made some little hearts. We also visited the nursery where they prune the famous bonsais and we saw the koi fish that are in the garden ponds. The entrance fee is 680 pesos, a little less than two dollars for tourists, it is a place to which I will return without hesitation.

I still have a lot to do in Buenos Aires and I have almost run out of time, although my current residence is in the city of Rosario, I will surely return very soon. I hope you enjoyed this tour with me.

These places look much more quieter than what I would expect from Buenos Aires. It all looks clean, fresh and organized. I hope to be able to visit one day.

Thank you for sharing!
